Bringing back memories man I was one hell of a saleman as a child . My teachers swore I was gonna grow up to be a car salesman . In the second or third grade ( mom's not around to ask ) I was facinated by electricity. one day after about 5 or 10 minutes of persuasion I convinced a class mate that sticking his keys in the wall outlet would make the lights go out and we could leave school early. He acted kind of scared at first and shove one of his keys in the hole. He was surprised it didn't shock. Then he happily and rather quickly stuck in the other Besides wetting his pants and a bad hair do , no harm came to him . But I sure got my arse handed to me a couple times that day

I used to share similar concerns . But at the time I was heavy into dbdrag, and nspl . Bout the only sq oriented competition circuit was iasca . And they were heavy (still are in my eyes ) on the wow factor influencing judges . if it sounds good, and is safe. what fooking difference does what it looks like make? But recently Dave, Jim, Webster, and Aaron have gotten me into the sq side of the world. Here at local shows it's pretty much run what ya brung, best sound wins. Which is the way I think SQ should have been all along. So now my fat neck arse is gonna go play with the big boys in modified with a system that cost less than some head units alone

woo hoo got the headunit , new components , crossovers, pair of dayton midbass, wire, distro blocks , and a few other assorted other goodies yesterday. Now just waiting on some biaxial and the weekend. Hope the biaxial gets here before the weekend does

Those pre-made outdoor speakers from PE use something similar except it's round. I think it might actually help , but would probably need to be closer to do anything. Can always play around with the leg length to see if it does hinder or help.

First time trying this side of the coin on my own. I have competed in SPL moons ago , but never sq . I have built parts for sq cars ( kicks , enclosures , pods , yada yada ) but never an entire sq install of my own, or on my own for that matter. I have been playing with different ideas here and there in the chit box for the past 5 or 6 months. Think I have all the bugs worked out and am ready to git er' dun for real this go round . Goal is best possible two seat image, with minimal processing. Use of all seats in the vehicle. And an onobtrusive look from peering eyes. Think I have a pretty firm grasp of how to get the sound I'm after. And the look I want. Just gotta get of my lazy arse and do it to it.
