Welcome to the IHoP
And a question to anyone who lives in HI or been recently. Do they not sell televisions there anymore ? I had an order for a plasma brought to my attention today , they paid a little over $900 for the TV , and $600 to have it shipped second day air

Yep the last IASCA car I built ( several years ago ) that was the number to receive full points. You got 10 points for 130, and bonus points to 135 but nothing over. Spent 6 months turning a back seat of a grand am into an ap enclosure for a pair of PPI 15's. The car had over 5kw in it ( 2kw on the subs alone ) , and would do a 136 on the audiocontrol meter. But come time for sq judging, only one sub was used.

Don't know if you guys are old enough to remember ( they may still I don't know ) IASCA metering SPL , and scoring it for SQ. While they were doing this , it was a common practice to run a heavily powered pair of subs for the sole purpose of the spl test.

Welcome to the IHoP
I am amazed by the number of local shops and stores that carry 2kw + amplifiers, and not a freaking one of them carries 1/0 wire nor firewall bushings for 1/0

im looking for a three inch driver, sub,
Don't think your gonna find a three inch sub anywhere though. I wouldn't run a center channel ( personally at all ) unless your going to have a 5.1 setup. I would just get some decent components, and amp them

Try wetting a towel with hot water. then wring it out some, roll it up a little , then lay it on it. Try and keep it warm and moist ( shut up ) wood glue no likey let go. Absolute best thing is a steamer and a good sharp chisel to pry with

Welcome to the IHoP
ROFLMAO I just made the easiest $20 I have ever made in my life . Guy tells me he will give me $20 if I can figure out why his subs aren't very loud. So I told him I would take a look and see . He's running a pair of old hx2's powered by a bd1500 . Should be freaking wanging , but he turns it on and there is next to no output. I asked how the subs were wired, he said with 10 gauge wire going into the little gold plugs. So I looked over the wiring , no loose connections or anything, good strong ground. So I walked to my car to get a screw driver to pull one of the subs. As I was walking back I noticed something in the port of the enclosure. I reach in and pull out a pillow. He said that one of his brothers friends told him he needed to put something in the hole in the box to seal it up. Sure stick a pillow in it lol. I pull it out of the enclosure, he turns the system back on. It's a little louder , but no where near what it should be. So I proceed to pull out one of his subs. As I pulled the sub out I noticed wire was only going to one side ( one coil hooked up hx2's were dvc ) So I said there's your problem , you only have one of the coils hooked up on each sub I bet. He said that couldn't be the problem as you didn't need to wire the other one up unless you blew the other one . They made them with a built in spare voice coil

new Amp rack & boxx
Well sir, if your committed to not having a back seat. Then I would remove the carpet in that area. Shim, bolt, and glue a couple pieces of mdf in there for a level floor. Build a couple battery boxes, leave and inch or two above the terminals so your wire will fit. Then build your amp rack using the battery boxes, and some stringers between them for support .

Yep , still need to at least make something to strap them down my man . In an accident they will make quick work of that plywood
