Fudge peta, first time I ran across a peta protest was at a redman bass fishing tournament. The redman tour uses stagged starts, 5 minutes apart. So if you draw a high number you usually spent a half an hour or so at the dock at the marina waiting. Well I drew 48 out of 50 and got to wait. While sitting there I noticed these people walking around handing out flyers and such. This yuppie looking guy walked up, and stepped onto the bow of my boat. And proceeded to lecture me about how cruel fishing tournaments were to fish. I was polite, but firm when I requested the guy to remove himself from my boat. He then went on with his "fish feel pain" lecture. I noticed the guy was wearing a leather belt, and leather shoes. Which made me ask the question " I wonder if that cow your shoes and belt came from felt the pain ? " He didn't like that. I again asked politely for him to remove himself from my boat. This time I started the outboard. He still kept on ranting and raving. About that time the tournament director ponted at me, and blew the whistle. My cue to head out. I told the guy I'm leaving, and he might want to get off the boat. The guy kept on. So I popped the outboard in gear, and started pulling away from the dock with peta man still on the boat. Once I cleared the dock I threw the hammer down. Peta man went flying off the side of the boat. Off I went. Peta man called the law. I was met out in the lake by a local game warden. He cam up and asked me if I had a run in with some guy at the marina. I told him not really a run in, the guy was on my boat. I told him to get off. He didn't, so I removed him. The game warden smiled, shook my hand. And said he would be waiting for me at the marina. I asked what for. He said he wanted to by me lunch

Had a slight blonde moment yesterday. Mom called me at work. My brother ( he lives with me ) had to work late. I Needed to pick up my little niece. She's known as the mouth of the south. I stopped by the rents on the way home. Threw the car seat in the back. Strapped her in and off we went. Her mouth was running faster than I was driving. Then it kind of died off. I look in the rear view mirror. And just see the top of her head. Stopped at a red light, looked back and she was out cold. Snoring and everything. Got lucky, silence at last. I get home, go in the house and start fixing dinner. I had this feeling like there was something I Had forgotten. But I couldn't think of anything. So I continued fixing dinner. Got everything finished just about the time my brother got home. He walks threw the door and asks where the mouth is. That's what I forgot. I left here in the d@mn car for like an hour and a half. Ooops, go out to get her. She's still sitting in the car seat, out cold. At least I had the windows down

I had an arse hole try to bump draft me getting off I-81 just the other day. I felt a thud, and looked up in the mirror and saw white smoke or something. Hopped out to see my car undamaged. His had a rather nasty hole in the radiator just about the size of my trailer hitch and ball When I bough the hitch for the tracker I didn't think of it as a defensive weapon

Later on that same day I was treated to some entertainment while I ate lunch dockside at the marina. Two rather large manly looking individuals, and a slender looking woman pulled up in a crv towing a newer model 3 seater yamaha. One of the manly looking ones, hopped out unstrapped the jet ski, then one got back in and proceeded to back it in the water. the other two got out and stood at the top of the ramp and watched. Looked like this was their first trip. After over hearing the conversation it was their first trip with the new jet ski. I also found out that it was actually three women "friends" Got the jet ski in the water. THe other two walk down to the water and hold the jet ski while the other parks the car. She comes back with three pos blaze orange life jackets. The horseshoe kind that go over your head. She hands them the life jackets, and they both put them on. Then while standing beside the jet ski, the one lady starts it. And of course just like every other jet ski in the world. It starts moving, and startles one of them. THe lady cuts it off and says she better get on it before she starts it So she climbs on. Tells the other two to climb on. Of course one steps up puts one foot on and they imediately roll over. The 3 stooges routine goes on for about 5 more minutes. By this time I'm about to wet myself from laughter. They successfully manage to get all three on. The driver starts it up and off they go. The lady in back made it all of about two inches before she fell off the back. The other two kept getting it. Guess it took them a couple seconds too realize she wasn't there. Once the driver discovered the third girl wasn't there. She whipped it around to head back nad get her. Yep second girl flies of this time. The driver continued to get the girl that fell off first, by the dock. She pulls up next to the girl. THe girl proceeds to pull herself up from one side. and once again the jet ski rolls over dumping the driver. The stooge routine continued once more for a couple minutes. They finally got back up. Then went out to get the other girl. Same chit, all three fell off. I figured I had laughed enough, so I headed out fishing again. Saw them a couple other times through out the day. Pretty much doing the same thing. Tying to get all three back on the jet ski. It was entertaining

Very carefully Couldn't tell ya, I have broke a single blade off on the bass boat. The vibration was so bad I had to idle the rest of the way back to the dock. Couldn't imagine getting all three unless you got them at the same time hitting a rock or something.

Should come to this neck of the woods some time. From what I have seen up there. This area is really similar in terrain. Winters calmer, and summers a little hotter here though.

Uhmmm, where to start. Drove 3 hours to the other side of Richmond Friday night. Got to the hotel and checked in. Was gonna go ahead and put the boat in the water. But a sudden lazy streak hit me, and I said fudge it. I'll do it in the morning. Got up at 4:00am hit the marina for coffee and a biscuit. Then went to get the boat. 4:15 Got in the car, and headed down to the ramp. being the courteous person I am I pull off to the side, away from the ramp to rig the boat. I proceed to unstrap the tie downs and what not. 4:30 Up rolls this big fudgin yellow international pick up truck. This thing was enormous, and looked brand new. Was hauling a big a$$ 30'-35'donzi cigarette, that also looked relatively new. Pulls right up beside me, blocking me in. The passenger window rolls down, and this girl who can't be more than 19, 20 sticks her head out and asks if they can go ahead and launch. I said sure, figuring they were all ready to go. 5:00 WTF was I thinking. Dude took 30 minutes to get that behemoth lined up with the ramp. Dude probably in his late 50's early 60's hops out. I kind of chuckled. He hadn't even rigged the d@mn boat yet. 5:30 Gramps has the boat rigged, and makes first attempt to launch 6:00 line forming, sun starting to rise, a bajillion attempts later gramps has yet to have a successful launch. 6:15 Feeling the lynch mob of angry necks starting to grow. I walked over and hollered up at the woman in the boat, and asked if her grand pa needed help. Said he was her husband rather angrily, and said he might. So I asked gramps, said he just wasn't used to the new truck yet. 6:30 I offer to launch the boat. Gramps accepts the offer. Gramps hops out the truck and let's a perfect stranger drive his $300,000 truck, boat, and trailer towards water. 20 or 30 angry necks have a way of changing peoples minds. 6:35 I hop in the truck, slide the seat back so the steering wheel is not hitting me in the chest. Asked gramps if he was positive he had everything, drain plugs the whole 9. Yep everything was go. 6:40 boat that cost more than my house is finally in the water. I pull up the ramp so I can get out of the truck. hop out tell gramps there ya go. He thanks me, and offered me some money. Told him that's all right, I was glad to lend a hand. He pulled on off 6:45 put the boat in the water, tie it up to the dock. Then proceeded to go park the truck and trailer in the lot. 6:50 gramps taking up d@mn near the entire parking lot trying to back into a spot between trailer. 7:00 sensing another neck revolt I hopped out and asked gramps if he wanted me to park it. 7:01 truck that cost twice as much as my house is now parked by a complete stranger. The guy thanked me, and once again offered money. I again said no thank you. Just glad to help 7:15 Finally head out fishing which pretty much sucked. Spent three fooking hours waiting at the ramp. Was kind of aggitated, but happy no one was killed. I came back in to eat lunch. Tied the boat up at the dock. I walked back to my car to get a pack of ciggs and noticed something on the windshield. Money bags left me 3 benjamins wrapped up in a piece of paper that said thank you. I guess being nice does have it's rewards sometimes
