  1. Looks interesting
  2. Yeah, but you can't get to carried away with the mekp. Heat gun FTW
  3. Just pm your address my brother. I'll get it too ya.
  4. Ding ding ding we have a winner. That's the main reason for me. Fishing, and listening to a football game at the same time. Makes me drool just thinking about it
  5. Not really, there's a dip in the floor on both sides. The drivers side is because I removed the dead peddle. The passengers side ????? Maybe it's for sentimental reasons he!! if I know. Working in the farging cold sucks.
  6. As long as they stay in his avatar. Your 4mm of dangling fury should be safe.
  7. First couple of layers, I hardly ever lay one at a time unless I'm using biaxial or something. The extreme light areas are just excess mat that ended up being cut off. It doesn't look it, but the reliefs are about a 1/4" thick. I'm a little farther along now. I'll let you see what I have so far Saturday
  8. Just keep your 4mm of dangling fury to yourself and we will be aight.
  9. No problem my brother, I can get "free" scraps that are either 36" or 48" wide ( can't remember right off hand ). Usually a yard or two long.

Tis very sexy my brother. Can't wait too see more
  11. Not the lack of, it takes big feet to hold up a big arse
  12. How much cf and how large of pieces ?
  13. Man I got access to large scraps of cf, kevlar, and a couple other hybrid mats at work. This sucker will be bullet proof by the time I'm done with it Tried the amplified antenna didn't get good results. Only thing it seemed to do was add a whining noise to the crappy reception
  14. You know I thought of that the other day. I have never tried it. I know a couple people that have the mobile version. Might give that a whirl. And see how it works.
  15. Forgot I uploaded these to photobucket Quite the challenge considering it's a crackerbox tracker, that's a manual, and I wear a size 15 shoe. I'll get some more pics when I get back home.
  16. We're not talking the titanic here or anything. Just my little river yacht. Has all the amenities of a larger boat. But only a 4" draft A high end head unit would be severe overkill. It's going in there somewhere. But i'm leaning heavily towards easy removal. The pods I'm working on will be attached with heavy duty velcro. And they will have banana plugs for quick disconnect. The head unit will most likely end up in a very well protected little box with similar disconnects for power and such.
  17. I had to bump this thread, for I too have an addiction. I came to this conclusion one day while fishing in this When I looked down at this area And thought something was missing there My name is Raymond. Am I'm addicted to mobile audio
  18. Sweet, looking forward too it. I haven't heard the magnum since the addition of the vifa's either.
  19. Woo hoo . Sounds fun I'll be back in town Friday night. hopefully I can get my passenger kick resined, so you and Dave can pick apart what I have so far.
  20. You coming down Mr. SQ ?
  21. yep, if they are tight to the floor cut a 2"-3" hole right below the mid driver in the kicks. Let em' fire directly into the carpet. Works wonders
  22. It's going in a 14' john boat. Need something too listen to on those long nights of catfishing. My little river yacht I'm not really concerned with playing cd's or anything. Mainly just want radio reception. I even thought about using flat ribbon cable, and remote mounting just the face. Then I could tuck the rest of the head unit away some where. But with the underdash kit. I can devise some quick release connectors and pull it out rather quickly.
  23. I have noticed that too. I have a nice clarion marine head unit that I used to use. I had a 10' whip ant. on the boat and the reception ( what little there was ) still sucked a$$ . So I plan to take a regular head unit. Use a metra underdash mounting kit, and a metra marine cover. The head unit will be completely sealed with the exception of the two holes in the rear of the mounting kit. I can cover those with a small piece of gortex. He!! I even have a couple small 12v fans laying around If I need it. Aight, your the fourth or fifth person that has said blaupunkt. Nobody around here carries them that I know of. I'll have to check around the net I guess. Thanks man
  24. Also forgot to add that it doesn't have to be a marine head unit. Plans are for everything to be easily removed after each fishing trip. And If need be I can build in splash protection.
