  2. they are right around 3/4 cuft each door.
  3. Holy bat chit batman an 8004 . So 100w each set x 2 sets per door = 200w a door :cool32: d@mn I have got to hear this
  4. It's DIM cause I'm Doing It Myself With some help from Nick, and Aaron, and Dave ( might not realize it yet ). dave get's the joy of helping me vinyl these monsters. I'm gonna smooth out any sharp curves with filler so it shouldn't be that bad. Gonna have to decide if we recover the whole panel or the pods. I built the pods on the existing removable panel at the bottom. So it still attaches with screws just like before ( added a couple bolts to compensate for added weight) , and all the design elements ( Nick, and Aaron know the corners I speak of ) were copied . So basically I have buit this pod to follow the factory curves of the panel so that we wouldn't have to modify the rest of the entire door. I think once I get the other panel built ( build pics coming in a day or two ) and we get them vinyled, they are gonna look pretty d@mn sexy
  5. Touche' putty tat
  6. Me too , I tried to get them as physically close together as possible. Aaron has the potential to have the loudest front stage I believe I have ever seen. Aaron how much power are you going to run to each door ?
  7. oops forgot this one Just for you Aaron I was able to work them back in
  8. Woo hoo got the camera fiasco straightened out. Bastages ordered the wrong battery Got the right one finally. Let's see, they started life like this Add some rings, fleece, fiberglass, resin, and a little body filler and we get this. Notice you still get to keep the rear map pocket. This is just the first layer of filler prior to sanding. Tape on the tweeter is just to hold for pictures, as I haven't mounted anything yet. Look like something you had in mind
  9. You will see my child, you will see ..........
  10. Getting ready to head to cc in a few minutes. They called and my battery is waiting on me . Crossover location is what I'm working on right now. will be either where the old 6 1/2 " was if I can work them both in there, or where the rear map pocket was if I can't .
  11. You mean a dead skin scraper... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not the cheese grater looking thing, there are some that use a very coarse stone. Pumice is what makes lava soap gritty. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know what a pumice stone is Its a dead skin scraper. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay , I old a guy one time to use it. Come back later and he had one of the cheese grater kind sawing away on his hands. I live around a bunch of necks man. I can't help it

I still post there as there are some who actually need help, I agree it's no fun sifting through the b.s. posts. But I still enjoy helping those that actually need it and appreciate it. I tend to stay away from the type r vs the world threads
  14. Considering they all can't stand me there. It's amazing the lady I was dealing with was so nice
  15. Also about the vinyl, did you warm it up first ? I find it helpful to throw it in the dryer for a few minutes to get it good and warm.

  17. Well sir, we have to wait until Wednesday nobody carries a battery for my camera. I had to order one at Circut Sh!tty. It should be in by Wednesday. I'm not goin to let this hinder my progress though. I'm going to cotinue to build on the door I'm working on. And hopefully have the camera battery before I start on the second. p.s. Aaron did I mention how tight of a fit it was ? I figured out how to get all four speakers on their though. And it only stands out 5 inches or so at the highest point .
  18. D@mn piece of crap camera The light on the charger was out, which means the battery is charged ( supposedly ). Popped the battery in the camera and no power Gottta run to Circut Sh!tty real quick for a battery. I promise Aaron I will get you some pics tonight.
  19. I use a pumice stone ( like old ladies use on their feet ) to get ca off my hands.
  20. Well I made some progress, as soon as the battery charges in the camera I got something to show ya

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum. It's much easier going here as the IQ of this forum is alot higher than caraudio.

  24. I'm getting ready to go hop on a plane to Florida to sign a contract that should keep my summers pretty busy for the next 4 years. I should get back on Monday morning. I'm gonna go ahead and layout the rings, and get the panels wrapped in fleece. If you don't mind I'm going to take pictures along the way and make a pictorial of my crazy ways of doing things. And post them here, and probably over a caraudio.com as well. If this is okay with you that is
