Caught a reef shark last night. I was wading about waist deep in the water about 50yds offshore, about 100-200feet down from a couple guys when I hooked into it . They both pretty much stopped what they were doing and made a b line over to where I was fishing One guy said " man you got a monster snook" the other then proceeded to ask me what I was using for bait . Where was I casting to , yada yada . I got the shark close enough to see what it was , and turned to tell the other guy it wasn't a snook . I turned around and they were standing on the beach Bunch of pussies

Jealous I am. Baitcasting or fly? Guys standing on the beach were laughing at me when I showed up. They all had a myriad of humongous arse surf casting rods. All live bait probably cast 50 foot off the sand. Then here comes my country bumpkin ass 7 foot medium spinning rod with 10lb test. Zinging red head jigs, with a white super fluke out in the INCOMING current. I was freaking tearing them up. Laughter and snickering stopped quick I actually meant for the tarpons...but I too enjoy the soft jerkbaits in both salt & fresh. How light of a jig? Went fly fishing for tarpon for the first time in my life . Damn , they put up a ass load more of a fight than the trout I'm use to catching with the fly rod Caught 3 , biggest being about 41" long. Jig's I use for snook are 3/4 oz. Current in the bay I fish is really swift

Way back when ( late 70's through the early 90's ) , iso mounting was almost a necessity in small vehicles wanting multiple subs. Used to be quite popular actually . But not so much anymore with modern day low vas subs. If your going to run modern day high xmax subs in a push pull configuration . Better cut yourself a spacer to put between the subs. Cones don't like to hit anything while they are moving, especially another cone
