Haha you should go read some more of M5's posts. It's who he is so don't get butthurt.....ignore the insults and listen to everything else....he knows what he's talking about. I agree with THAT 100% I've never seen a thread locked on this site, but i think this would be a good candidate. I don't think anything else needs to be said, cause it's all been said and then some.

Yep, I don't doubt the Q or BL sound better than the SDC2.5 (though I've never heard any Fi product). I think the OP would be perfectly happy with one or two SDCs though BUT for the price of two SDCs shipped it looks like you can get a BL 15" for right around the same price

It's $328 for two SDCs shipped and 250 for an AQ1200D shipped.............thought i should point that out Haha I'd still look into other options though

Ok...pretty sure my idea is failing, but i dunno how to fix it.....The speaker pod is in the door panel and has three places for screws to screw in and hold it to the door, and it doesn't seem like a good idea to cut those out....ugh and i don't have a stupid camera right now either

Yes the Q is a great sound quality woofer that can hit low and get loud, don't get me wrong, but it's not designed just to get loud....I can't think of anyone who owns one right off the top of my head, but i know there are some people who have them. I'm only talking from what i've heard others say. Another sub to look at is the SSA Icon. you wouldn't be let down by that one And Shizzon is right, if you want loud for cheap, go with one or two SDC2.5s.....that's what i have and i love it! Mine gets loud enough i really don't want to be in the car, and screw trying to use any of my mirrors lol (ya ya that won't impress any regulars on this site, but High school kids on the other hand.....) And they're only 140 + shipping

Choose ONE Get loud, no matter what sound quality OR sound good and sacrifice being the loudest. I'm assuming you want the second, so the Q probably isn't the ideal sub for you.

Very true, but i sold the speakers i had (infinitys). I wasn't planning on it, but the opportunity arose and i figured i'd be better off in the long run. I'm not 100% sure about the right way to mount the speakers though.....any pointers or links? I'll go search....and by the way I have a 99 Civic 4dr

Those subs aren't even really comarable....the AQ is mainly for SPL and the Fi is for SQ.... But i bet either of those will be louder and sound a helluva lot better

I'd go with the Icon considering the power your amp puts out.

Well, i got the ID ctx's for 180. Tried to put them in and realized I'm going to have to do some crazy (for me) door modification to get them to fit. Oh well! Guess i have another project on my hands

Kicker amps are good, but their subs are only good for getting loud....but if thats what you want to do, then go for it.
