  1. is that 3.5 cf after port and sub displacement or before?
  2. LOL, we are not making this easy! Hell either damn one of them would be bad ass. It's your money OP I think you would be happy either way!
  3. You can cook a woofer with any amount of power if its clipping. Not if the clipped signal is within the power rating, both thermally and mechanically. ^ Truth! Which is one reason I am going to vote Xcon for the OP. A little wiggle room is a good thing. Port a 12 around 30hz and be happy.
  4. xcon vs icon on 1000w i doubt you would hear a difference, but if the upgrade bug hit and you wanted more power you would be covered with the xcons. What is your ultimate goal with the subs? Sq? Loud and clear?
  5. Both are nice and they like about the same box. Tough call. Just depends if you have extra money to spend. I think you would be happy either way!
  6. Not another noob wanting to run 30k watts like that guy on you tube I hope.
  7. Good to know, I am going to order a couple on Friday. One question for you Sir and sorry to crap OP's thread with a question of my own, but it could be relevant if he goes this route also. Why does Kinetik reccommend 2 of the same batteries? Ex 2 HC2400 vs. 1 HC2000 & 1 HC3800? Would it matter?
  8. Looks nice chop. Keep digging, you will find some extra db's.
  9. Damn sorry for you bro. At least a recone wont set you back too much. Have you reconed a sub before?
  10. Bump for an update on the VCM for oval plug GM. Thanks
  11. Contact Don at SDS or Rick at Raamaudio. Don seems to be the overwhelming favorite around here and it seems to be for good reason tho i have no personal experience with him I would use him myself if i was in the market.

Cool pics man. Looks like fun! That first one looks like someone is about to get wet.
  13. Deadener is NOT the way to fix rattles. Foam is. First you need to find what is rattling. Liquid damper is rather stupid in general, scientific tests will prove that all day long. ok so ill get some of that ccf and then glue it to my plastic door panel and i should be straight. Yes and that is what I said in the beginning. No?
  14. Actually, they build all of their amps in house! I didn't know that either, was very very refreshing to see a USA built amplifier. Good stuff. Very solid Amps, I personally like the 4kd they have. I didnt know that. That is good news for ther USA.
  15. all you want to do it add a layer between the door and panel. If it cant hit the door it has nothing to vibrate against. It is not used in place of deadener on metal, but as a layer between that and the trim. It comes 36" x 36" so a quantity of 2 would be pleanty for 2 doors. I have also used Dynamat Dynaliner on my roof, it is MUCH thicker. Be carefull going to thick on the doors, mine were tight as hell to get back on between the deadener and the ensolite.
  16. Meh, I put some Cascade spray on mine. I dont think it really did anything. Some of the raamaudio Ensolite is a more effective way to stop the buzz between the door and the panel. It's cheap and it goes a long way.
  17. the SSA dcon's like small boxes.
  18. Glad you got that box in there.
  19. Get a damn tape measurer and do it yourself.
  20. Beautiful background in that pic!
  21. Thats the way it should be. Unless someone complains, didn't hear it.
  22. It took you long enough. lol Curious about how you got the alt up and running.
  23. Some good numbers for some small budget powering on them. Would like to hear some of these one day. Can I drive Tim's car?
  24. @ GlassWolf Where in SC are you? I am in Florence.
  25. Biggest problem I see is it does not subtract driver displacement, so your actual tuning will be higher than what the RE program says.
