It would sound good on 300w sealed. I would get the bigger box. You can always add to the inside to take up volume if you wanted too. Thats cheap as hell for that box. 3/4 MDF too. Welcome BTW.

4 15's and 9000w - May as well get one big ass amp and load up your doors with as many 5-1/4's as you can fit.

You will need both 125.2 and the 100.4 if you plan to run active 3 way or at least 3 separate amps plus sub amp. That was the main reason I went with a passive 3 way set, was the space 4 BIG amps would take up. I just did have room under my seat for the 2 amps I am running now. 4 15's DAM. You will need something efficient as hell thats for sure. Having a larger stand alone midbass plus mid and tweet really opened up my sound stage so I would say go for it and take some pics.

I am tuned in, I have 4 batteries (optima) and would like to just have one big one in back to clean things up. Optima never is anyones top pick, but i have good luck with them so far. XS looks to be very nice and I have heard good things about stinger too. Shipping on batteries screws everything up and it's hard to find good local. In a post a few weeks XS Power basically said that AH was meaningless to car audio. He said it was max amps we needed to pay attention to , but i have not seen that rating listed on other batteries.

I think if you have an older low voltage HU it would help, but most HU now days are good with regard to that. You could fuck up your stuff if you are not carefull , so I would say walk away.

I agree, too cheap. The bd1000's sell for over 200 on ebay.

Look here big guy. I have been in your shoes about your age too. I am 39 now and I can tell you straight up that life still has lots in store for you. The difference between me and my life at 27 and now is night and day. I do not even know you and I know you are a good person just from your posts here. What is giving you a fit right now, will make you stronger. You are still a young pup and this wont be the first time you feel down in the dumps, but better days are ahead. They always are no matter how bad things seem. You will get some strange, hit a hole in one and score a 70, bust off that high score on the term lab. All it takes is one thing, and it will put things back in to perspective. Life does not suck, just seems like it when things get out of control. Starting right now, pick one thing and take control of it. Then pick another and build on your strength knowing that you are in charge of life. Ignoring it and pouting about it is not going to fix it. Take charge Big Man. You owe it to yourself and the people that love you.

Thumper would be a great option if shipping dont kill you. The mad has serious skills. Quentin built a box for me and did a great job so if you could work something out with him that would e ideal.

Really not sure about any problems with their amps. I think there is more to it, but their amps may be the exception to all that. I am curious too and this would not be against any rules that I am aware of. Hopefully you will get some adult replies and no rocks. : )

No. Look at the builders on here or buy the MDF and let Lowes or Home Depot make the cuts for you. They will cut it for free. A prefab box will be crap. As far as sealed vs ported, I like both. I have mine sealed right now and they sound very good and get loud. Apples to oranges because I have different subs, but still. I am about to make a change and go with some bigger subs and I will port them, but not beacuse sealed was not loud. If i were you, I would build a sealed box, then if you want more output - build another and port it.

I will give the mods and owners of SSA the credit that is due. I have never (read not once, ever) seen them try to pump their product to the masses like all the others. In fact quite the opposite. I have seen them on many occasions recommend a different brand if that was the best solution. Who else would do that? I know the answer. I have never seen another brand say you are a brand X buyer and our sub is not the solution to your goal. That is FACT! None of these guys are fan boys and that is one reason I will never run another brand.

Hopefully they are putting some bracing in that box, dowl rods or something. That bish is HUGE! Moving right along now. Got to admit it's moving faster that I thought it would when you first posted. Keep it up man.

Re: the MB Quart Discuss amps. I have the 4125 and it's a beast. It is IMO the best bang for the buck out there right now. I can only speak for the 2 Maxxsonics amps I own and they are an excellent value. GP3000D & DSC4125. Re: crossover - install your system first. I have one on my HU but rarely use it unless the music is compressed MP3. You may not even need one so save your money until that day comes. If you are looking for a nice HU with eq try the Kenwood X493 or X993. You can get the 493 for $100 installed at most CA shops.
