Sound Deadener Choices
I hear you. Out of those I posted up first, the Dynamat was the only one that I was pretty sure would be a good one. I have doubts about the others. They are proud of it though. Ha Ha yea I could do that.

Sound Deadener Choices
Actually yea they do have more cascade. I didn't see it the first time, but Amazon offers the following from them Cascade VB-2HDSP Shop-pak 41.7 sq. ft. $228.00 Cascade VB-2HD Damping Sheet 13.9 sq. ft. $79.95 Cascade V-MAXMP Aluminum Damping Sheets 2.8 sq. ft. $32.50 Parts Express is the vendor. I am glad I found this since I wanted to try Cascade before I went with the Damplifier Pro. Second choice was the Dynamat. I really was doubting the others in my first post, but does not hurt to ask for opinions. M5, I take it you have used the Cascade products. I have read where people swear by them and wont use anything else. I would love to try some of Don's product, but it just makes sense to spend the funny money. I do want to get some of the Ensolite (sp) or a barrier to place between my doors and the door panel, so maybe I will hit him upo for his opinion with that.

Sound Deadener Choices
Ok so I get spiffs at my job when I sell certain products and I got some AMex gift card to spend. The bad thing is I can only use them at certain places. As far as anything car audio I can use these cards at Best Buy, Crutchfield, and from Amazon.cm. Looking around Amazon, I have found a few deadener products and would like to hear thoughts on these. Here is what I can find so please let me know if you have ever used this and would recommend any of it. Q-MAT 13" X 28" sheets 62.5 Square Feet $189.58 R-Blox RBLOX-100 Extreme 100' $218.88 Stinger RKX36B Expert Bulk Pack 9 - 18 x 32 sheets $109.12 Dynamat Xtreme 9 - 18 x 32 sheets $130.98 CASCADE VB-1X(1G) SPRAYABLE DAMPING COMPOUND 1 GAL $69.90 Even though it is funny money, I still want to get the best bang for the buck. It is a hell of a job putting this stuff on and I hope some on here can let me know if any of these would be a good value or a complete waste of money. I have SS Damplifier Pro on both doors, but I need some more for a few areas where I ran out. I like the SS product , but would prefer to save my cash if I can. Any help would be appreciated.

i saw that the rockford t 1500 bd is around 600$ is this correct
@ bigrank - Dang, good catch on the SSA store pricing. Pays to shop around. @crazykid - True words. Keep that voltage up and amps will love you long time.

Does anyone here build custom boxes for members?
Thats the problem with reading what someone types. Saying the same thing in different tones can mean entirely different things, but reading what someone types leave it to their imagination sometimes. I didn't think it was out of line, but the OP sure did. Cheers to you for clarifying.

Fosgate is a quality product and will do over rated. $600 is a good price. I have never had one single problem with Fosgate amps and have owned PLENTY in my life.

Component Set
I have not listened to those before. They look like they would be nice tho. I like the Image Dynamics CTX65CS. Same price as those Polk at woofersetc too. In that less than $200 price range I would take a serious look at them. They get loud and sound good doing it. Good tweeter for the money. If the Id's look like something you would like, I have a set that has never been out of the box that I could save you a little $ on too. Got me a a new 3way set up coming and will not have a need for the second set of these. I will be keeping the installed set for rear fill.

New Soundstream Reference Amps
Anyone have one of these or read any good reviews of the new reference amps from Soundstream they could link me to? Back in the day they were the some of the best around. Seriously looking at the REF4.920.

full boost knob vs not plugging in boost knob
Are you talking about the SAZ you plan to get or the amp you have now? The SAZ is a gain knob and not a boost I believe. Edit to add that if you are settign gain to half, you are just guessing. Gains are to match voltage between you source unit and amp. Unless you set it to be the same, you have no idea if the amp agrees that half is actually half. YOur half could be clipped to hell by the amps standards.

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
Sir-Lancelot replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electricalnah, I have gotten a LOT of help from Wyatt, SicAudio... he has my trust! Cool. Trust is worth far more than $100 saved IMO.

Creating a New Box (Help Appreciated)
Trying to run amps at .5 is not the way to go for daily. Why risk blowing your amp up for a few watts your ears will never hear? It will be a power hog and you will shit your amp and or woofer. Get dual 2 coils and run at 1 ohm or run the dual 1 coils at 2 ohm. If you have time and are trying to do things right this time you are off to a bad start

System tuning advice required.
Would I lose any sound quality by doing this? When I tried that, something felt out of balanced, or missing..Imagination? IMO, Fading to the front should help your SQ. You want the image in front of you and the rear to be there but just barely audible. It's not rear sound stage. In that regard my favorite set of rears is one that isn't there at all. No rears at all FTMFW! True, but I drive a Yukon XL. People in the back appreciate me being able to fade something other than 2 15" woofers their way. I keep it faded to the front riding solo.

Common Sense
And they are always in the pucking passing lane going 10 under. FUCK YOU BITCHES. I hear ya M5. Whats worse is when 3-5 of them get in a line and creep along in the passing lane. Hate that shit! Just hate it. In town I usually ride the speed limit. You just do not make any time weaving in and out of traffic just to stop one car ahead of me at the red light. LOL at those fools. Now the interstate, thats a different story. I let it roll. I do not think it makes me a better driver, just puts some space between myself and the puckers that cant drive and makes me happy. I use a radar detector because it's my right to if I choose to do so.

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
Sir-Lancelot replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalDamn that seems high for the Crunch. I only paid a little over $400 for mine little less than a year ago. Is it because they are discontinuing them or something.

distribution block melting
Also, if the fuse is loose it will melt. Good idea to check and tighten those screws every now and then or use some blue loc-tight on them. Vibrations will slowly back them out.

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
Sir-Lancelot replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalThe only one of these I have any experience with is the GP3000D. I am currently running this and I love it. It is not as current hungry as people who do not have it claim, no different that any other good 3000w amp and better than some of the popular one's out there, IMO. This one gets my vote, but I am biased.

new amp for two machfive subs

Enough power?
Add big battery under hood and in back with the amp and you should be ok. IMO If not HO it is.

Whats the depth of an XCON
going to be hard to do in a truck. Willing to cut up the cab and bed? No back seat? My vote BTL.
