IMO, yes. I think the CTX are a very nice set for the $. Good midbass in a sealed door and a smooth tweeter. Bridge that 4ch on them and should make a nice set up!

I would go with the RSD's personally between those choices. If you could find a set of ID CTX6.5's that would be a good option too. Nice set for the price, IMO.

The only "really" nice Crunch amps were some of the real old school ones and the GP3kPro's that I have. The 3k's were a tremendous bang for the buck. Rated 3000w at 12.4. All the other newer Crunch are rated max watts, so just know what your getting. They are still nice, but expect it to do about half what it's rated to. The 3k's are discontinued unfortunately. I already got people in line to buy these if i ever upgrade. lol Pretty sure I could sell all 4 tomorrow. I am giving thought to buying a couple bigger amps, but right now $$ is not there to get what I want. So............ True story! It could be the dust cap. Can you see anything obvious? Like where it is coming up from the cone. I had a new sub that came to be like that where it wasn't glued on a spot for about 2", I just put some epoxy on it and laid something heavy there while it cured. It was making a similar sound and that got it straight. How is the box? can you feel any obvious air leaks on the seams?

I have 1 ONE mid and 1 ONE tweeter in each front door and it keeps up plenty with over 150db on zcons in your face. BTW, my mids are even crossed at 63hz. As said above there are better ways to go about what you want to do with better results as a sweet little bonus. Your car, your build, and your money..............good luck.
