That would be DJ Billy E - Beats for my van My voltage drops like a brick when I turn it up past where it was, but it does surprisingly well up to that point. I think the other batteries and alts will really make this a beast. These amps do not like low voltage at all and will protect in a hurry, but on the flip side they are unregulated so the better my voltage the better the carnage. lol I am having fun with it. Bring the Fam to the beach, you know you want to. lol

That's an interesting question. Obviously with more power they get MUCH louder, but I gotta say overall I like them better than the xcon. They have a wicked punch to them on metal and even with my conservative SSF settings, they will slam on the lows. I have played around with them with a much lower SSF setting and they get NASTY. I was told today that I am too conservative, but I prefer to be safe than sorry. Hopefully redneck can chime in as we had this conversation today about how solid pole subs seem to have more authority on bass punch. The zcons are tight as hell! They sound really damn good and only got warm after banging the shit out of them for about an hour today. Well built moofers as were the xcons. Don't tell redneck that, he is already looking for victims to film. LOL.

I mean it sounds like you need a bigger amp not an EQ and bass boost. If you go turning up bass boost and boost low frequencies on a EQ too, you will smoke your subs quickly. Your friend is giving you bad advice.
