Supposedly higher voltage = better signal and better SQ. However, some of the best SQ HU's have low pre out voltage, so take it with a grain of salt. It would be louder because the signal is most likely being clipped since the gains between the HU and Amp do not match.

Shouldnt you scope the the RCA'S from the HU first, then scope the speaker leads from the amp at the highest level the HU sends without clipping?

I tested it because I wanted to know for myself what it actually put out. I'm a skeptic when it comes to Birth Sheets also, but I saw the proof, and I'm happy with it. Ive heard nothing but good things about Sundown and will be getting one or installing them for my next customer. When I get one I will gladly test it. But like i said, i'm not doing testing to put any brand down. I think most people knew that. Some people have boners for a specific brand. Nothing wrong with that, just like there is nothing wrong with seeing value in other brands too. I like the test and I am sure Sundown would be right there too. No. DVD Audio and SACD are both audio formats in 5.1. FWIW Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon is fucking bliss on SACD. I love to get a couple valium, several beers, sit in my listening room and hammer it. The effect is unreal. I need to come to your house, I will bring the beer. Any time. My home set-up is pretty killer. All Pioneer Elite with DVD-A and SACD fed through 5.1 analog passthrough and alll custom speaker builds by myself (huge ported mains stay flat to 32Hz in room), with a Brahma rounding out the bottom end. 3rd Sucks about your bats. I would never buy used bats for that reason. yea and my battery up front was from the same guy too. He "supposedly" restores them. Use your ears, you don't need a scope. Even if you did use a scope you would just go back and turn up the gains because it would not be loud with zero clipping at all frequencies.
