I thought the same thing until I read about it and saw it uses WAY better components and can so full 4 way active right on the deck. Mine is only 3way and off the shelf 5% caps, diodes, etc....

Was looking around the pioneer site and I came across THIS man it looks sweet I cant wait to get it and replace my 880 PRS. I calculated that box at 29.2 cubes just had to guess bc I don't know about wood thickness, bracing and sub disp. but if you make that port 3 ft wide 6in tall and 6.12 in long will give you a box tuned at 33 htz someone plz check my results

I agree with M5, a new EQ will help you adjust, but over all will make your system more complicated. I would just get a new head unit, one like the Pioneer Premier DEX-P99RS that deck gives you way more options than any eq or if you dont want to spend 1300$ on a deck you could get the older 880 PRS. They have 32 band equalizer, phase adjustment for each speaker independently. 24 bit bur brown DCA's, 5 volt pre outs. They are pretty sweet.

I had a pair of 100.2 running dual mono to my mids. 1 went blooey, dont know why. these amps were 2 years old BTW, when this happened. So, I sent it in, Jacob sends me a brand new 125.2. I thought " awesome". Bummer was, I had a unmatched pair of amps running my mids. For 20 bucks shipping Jacob replaces my other 100.2 so I could have a pair of 125.2. WHO ELSE WOULD DO THAT?!?!?!? NOBODY. /nuthugg off lol nuff said, he dint have to do that for ya but he did and he probably made a repeat customer out of ya...I hope I wont have any problems but if I do. I feel better about this purchase now, Thx guys

The owner of RD is a complete fucktard. No other way to say it, sorry to cuss, but he deserves that. Scamming, lying, cheating etc etc etc. There are many threads about rd audio esp on ca.com, just look in the thunderdome, there is even a sticky one lol Ok I just read 10 pages out of 59!!! 59 pages of RD slammin...wow ok well that settles that then.

I was pokein around the net and I read that sundown, IA, RD and Stetsom all use the EXACT same boards built by a build house out of china named ZENON. This company is supposed to make High end boards for these companies. So my question is...I have a few grand cash for my next amp why should I go with sundown when RD and IA are less if they are the same?

WELL I just so happen to be able to tell you....I have (had) a BL fully loaded on 2K daily of CLEAN power that part is very important. I just blew that BL last week and it poped at about 2.3K for about 4-5 mins non stop...Mechanically the thing is still perfect, the coil gave out on it (to no fault of its own) Box. 3.5 cubes 65in sq of port tuned to 35htz So bottom line 2K daily only if you know what you are doing. If you don't have an o scope and cant tell where clipping starts to occur on your amp then be safe and dont exceed 1.5 - 1.7 K on a fully loaded BL Edit: I just noticed you only have the cooling option so if I were you I would not go over 1.4K

Its all up to you at the end of the day but I always thought a ford escape would be a good car for audio. lots of parts out their for them and they are small, so that means less deadener, wire, air you have to move, etc... and lots of space if you wanted to run 2 15s or a big 10 cube box

all looks good as for the fuse you will have to check with the manufacture

Yep Yep well that is the whole idea of this endeavor....I need a bigger sub(s) BUT 2 BLs about 600 and if I could just build these bad boys up for less then I see that as a no brainer....

If it's a d1, he can wire to 2 ohms to the pair, so each see's 1 ohm? First you have to check of your amps can be strapped if they can you will want to know what is the lowest impedance the amp can go to....EX: 1 ohm per amp SO if you have 2 amps and each can handle 1 ohm your final load will need to be 2 ohms, each amp seeing 1ohm. Now as for wiring you will connect the ( - ) of both amps together and the take the ( + ) from one amp to your speaker and the ( + ) from the other amp to the remaining lead

Looking Good...I too have a Taurus and I know for a fact you can get a 6 cube box in the trunk with no issues. I have a BL on 2.8 K and you should be very happy with your new set up

WAIT BUT THERES MORE!!! so last night I was looking at dual alt kits and they all come with some sort off a relay. What is this for?? from what I have read about them you cant just hook them up in parallel but nothing states why you cant. Read the Middle picture second one from the bottom. HOLY $HIT I googled that truck wow thats like a few thousand amps of juice!!!! I know that TONZ of people have done this so I know its possible but I want to make sure I do everything by the book. Well yes they will be turning the same speed but when i put them in. I would have to some how make sure both pullys are in the same position and if the belt were to slip then they would be off or out of phase. I think....
