Building the box tomorrow. 2 JL w7 8 Inch subs (sold the 12's, these are to cool looking). Sealed or Ported? Used for Rap Music. These are each being powered by a JL 500/1 until I order Sundown Amps.

Ill post some pics when the setup is done guys, just because I am lazy lol. I may wind up keeping it sealed so it hits more notes.

Yes I need a port, i was thinking 2 seperate ports for each sub. layout would be Sub / / Sub all in one box. Do you guys think 1 JL 500/1 On each sub would be sufficient?

Ok, so I splurged a little when I bought my new car. I needed something small, since its a BMW 3 series. I got 2 12" JL W7's off a friend for 500. I need to make a box for these that will fit my trunk in the Bmw. If i give someone measurements of the trunk room I am working with can you guys help me with the measurements of the box so I can build one? Thanks, Kevin

Yes and I even took it one step further and used new speaker wire on the sub. Strange.

Ok, this is weird. I have an 18" Ascendant audio Sub. It has been working well for months since I bought it, however just recently while I was driving around (not bumping hard, just normal playing) it "stopped" working. There was no wierd sounds, static, it just stopped playing. I kept driving home since I figured the amp fuse might have blown or gone into protect mode , which would have been no big deal. However after looking at it, and testing it, I think the amp is fine. I don't have a DMM so I took a home stero speaker, wired it to the amp just to see if I got a sound from the speaker and it worked fine. However even after Rewiring my entire amp and sub, the sub still produces no noise. Is my sub broken? I have had a blown sub before and it still atleast made sound, so I am confused as to what is wrong with this sub? Please let me know your thoughts, i would like to get this fixed. Kevin

I had a similar problem with my JL 1000/1 , however mine did work in other cars when i wanted to trial and error the problem. It turns out I had an adapter hooked up to my Stock headunit that was killing the signal or something, however i just replaced the HU and got a nice aftermarket, removed that adapter, and walla! Beauty

If anything this would help SSA productions, however after talking to him it was mentioned that the resale of the product is not yet cost effective enough for me to resell, so he will handle things. More info coming soon

On a retail side of things . I am in the works of something huge, that will please every audio enthusiast on this forum . For those of you who don't know I am an internet entrepreneur, and have recently just got hooked in this market. I have something coming in the next month on a retail side of things you guys will love! Still talking to some of the companies you all know around here, but the business model is done. Not much info I know, but just wait !
