What software would i need ???
To figure how much air a specific subwoofer should need using the information like, (VCdia: 1-1/4" *Impedance: 4 ohms *Re: 3.6 ohms *Frequency range: 45-1,500 Hz *Fs: 45 Hz *SPL: 82 dB 2.83V/1m *Vas: .24 cu.ft. *Qms: 2.68 *Qes: .61 *Qts: .49 *Xmax 9.25mm) and does any one know a good thing or two about designing t lines.

Running a Stetsom under 1 ohm daily
I had a 2k6d it didn't like being ran at 1 ohm (rated @ 2 ohms) when it got hot it it would go into protect if i tried to get loud with it. very power hungry also. i would stick with the sundowns. that's what i switched too and no problems. I would only use it if i got it for cheap. if you blow it i doubt you would get allot of cs.

Needing some help in a box design/dimensions
I bought this speaker and put it in a prefab box. it does good but i think it could do better if it was in a better built box.( moves allot of air) it is in my room something the size of a dorm room. I use it mostly for music, I'm thinking maybe tuning it to 35-40 Hz. I would like to put it in a t line, but my box desinging skills are not up to par. Could some one help me out with some dimensions??? I'm not looking for sq. I know its a small speaker, but I'm in Iraq right now so I wanted something that Can pack up easily. and not take up to much space. Below is the speaker and the amp i have. Thanks for any help u can give me. The amp i am using The speaker

Does anyone have a HO Alt on a 4 groove belt?
My belt is just a flat multi-rib belt my point exactly if i dont have any problems with a v belt you shouldnt...... an alternator guy told me the same thing he said for an alternator putting out more than 150 amps i would have problems, so i built my own altornator, made sure to buy a good belt, the cheap belts will stretch and burn up and break or glaze up and slip. i have a 350 amp so you should be fine.

Does anyone have a HO Alt on a 4 groove belt?

Does anyone have a HO Alt on a 4 groove belt?
all you have to do is get a smaller belt that simple go to auto zone after figuring how small you need mite be 2.5 inches or so depending on the number of reduction pulleys you are using mite take 2-3 belts be for you get the correct one so just go with a cheap belt till you find the proper size some are like $30 were other are like $12.99 i have a single groove pully on my 350 amp alternator just dont buy the cheapest belt u should be fine witha four groove mine doesnt even chirp at full tilt no problems.

quick question about dd's or any sub for the matter
I bought two brand new dd 3512's I thought they blew but when they got to dd they said that the motors had shifted. Then they asked me if i droped my box or if a had gotten in a car accident. (which i hadnt) they fixed them and they are on there way back I was wondering if this has happened to any one else??? im running 4 subs all 3512's other two where fine.

how do you fit 8 gauge in push button terminals
- how do you fit 8 gauge in push button terminals
Stupid since 12ga will do. Twist caps are for solid core wire. True.... but at times we do things that work good and are reliable in our builds, even though they weren't intended by the manufacturer to do so.. that said i use the twist caps they come in handy and are easier to use especially if u have dd subs.- project rebuild neon
thats sick man thanks yes it is im powering two 3000ds with the 350 version got the parts from there, voltage stays in the 13.5 14.8 range- project rebuild neon
check this out almost makes me wish i had a neon- Project FrankenWagon
It's gonna be a week or two on 15's. I got rent to pay =[ If it was the first of the month I would have all of them. BUT. Opinions... Trade 3 Kinetik HC2000 for 2 Turbostart 16v batts AND the charger for them. STRAIGHT trade, turbostarts are floating at 15.7 apiece. I'm going to be running a dual charging system, 250 amp 18v alt, and a 170 amp 14v alt (already have it). If I get the 2 turbostarts, I can get more powermaster S1000 16v batts from mechman pretty cheap since they came out of a show car. Then get the 250 amp 18v alt from him also later on down the road. The 14v alt will be in the stock location, then the 18v will be in the smog pump location (not required in Arkansas, no inspection) and the only the 18v alt will do is charger the 6 16v batts and run the diablo 8.1 =] The 170 amp alt will run the car, and my mids and high amps. Tell me what you guys think on the trade.. PS - Listened to the 15's today before he takes them out...and man they pound..running on a Cadence Z9 at 1/2 barely flexin'...can't wait to see them movin at 10Kw i have an 83 olds same pully system i have two alternators also except i put the smaller alt at the smog pump and my 350 amp in the factory location i was thinking about where to put my third one my ac still works. i was going to put it right beside my 350 amp and fab a bracket up to hold it. if you know how to take an alt apart u could build your own for cheap with an adjustable reg so if you decide to run 12 volt or 16 volt u can use the same alt. when i say cheap i mean around 290 for 350 reliable amps. u just need to find a core at a junk yard doesnt need to work as you will be replacing almost everything inside it.- i just got 2 saz 3000 d's and need help
i got mine from wal martno prob except to much power :bigclap:- question
how long do you have to break in nightshades befor you can play em loud- It's almost that time......
it was easier and loud when i strapped my two sundowns, all i had to set was one amp so all my speakers were on the same page, i stoped by wal mart and bought a set of rca's split em and used the on my br out and br in- what do u guys think
-Five yellow tops with 3/0 power and ground -Two alternators one stock running car (one soon to be two cs 144 350 amp with Quicktifier Remote Rectifier System adjustable regulator set at 15.5v with one run of 1/0 running stereo) That's a serious setup. Where did you find 350 amp alts? Ambulances? I'm also surprised there was enough room under the hood. Pics? But I'd also go with 4 subs, as Jacob mentioned. 3000 is twice the RMS of the Nightshade (If I understand correctly that that's what you're going with), and even if it could handle that much, there is diminishing returns with trying to squeeze every last watt into one sub. Less power compression with four. your pics kind sir i build my own alt it cost me around 160 bucks to build that one alt i still have the 200 amp stator to use in another need to find a core i get em in the junk yard, for my honda i was going to build a cs 130 alt to around 140 amps with the iceburg kit. all with adjust regulators so i can choose my voltage. :bigclap: - how do you fit 8 gauge in push button terminals
