sorry I get to chattin' and clog up the thread It's dumping buckets of rain out right now.. Kinda' sucks. Yeah, understandable. I've read that having the ground have to go through all the aluminum and welds and such in my car to get to the front - isn't the best. And I already have the wire, so why not?

Why not? mount the Xover by the mids, run tweeter wires to the front. Not difficult at all.

That's the crossover. And no, it doesn't. But you will need to have the ability to set the crossover points for the 6.5 on either your amp or HU. Why don't you want to use it?

Really depends on where you want them. Where you like them mounted and what sounds best for you. Get some double sided tape and try them in different spots and find the best for your ears Why not put the 6.5s up front and the others in back? that way the mid and tweet can be close? (if you decide to get the tweet up front. Which I think will be the ticket.)

That makes a lot of sense, I just never really thought of it much. Thanks for clearing that up for me for you! I just thought of it as a bottle neck situation. If you cut that wire strand, the electricity isn't able to go anywhere at the end of it, so it would have to jump to another and slow down the transfer of electrons, creating heat or resistance or something.
