can the ssa dcon be wired down to 1 ohm?
The Dcons are only offered in single and dual 4 ohm VC configurations.

can the ssa dcon be wired down to 1 ohm?
The lowest you could go would be with a dual 4 ohm VC configuration wired down to 2 ohms. Get 2 and you can get 1 ohm But you will be fine at that power level at 2 ohms. Don't need the full RMS to get the sub jammin'

Make your own ring terminals
Not bad, ill order some now That's less than half of what i paid per terminal on my last group buy. wow. Those what you normally use, or did you just come across the deal?

stock ground
I don't fuse my alt + to battery. What if the fuse blows, and you don't notice? the alt is making all this power and has nowhere to go, burns up and starts a fire! It's a long shot, but that's how i do it. That's ridiculous. Terminals here a 5$ a pair everywhere here. Is it an ultra special pure platinum terminal?

The other, smaller box had some welding supply "hyperflex" orange 1/0 for my friend's build in his badass malibu. Here is a comparison to some knu 1/0 OFC. The knu was easier to get in the knot, and easier to get out of the knot. Was much easier to get the 1/0 ring terminal on the weldingsupply wire though. I think I'll go with them next time i get some wire. Knu is good, but i can't get all of the wires into my terminals ever. Can't go with 2/0 terminals because my crimper wont fit around them. Reality you wont need to bend wire like this, so it's really not that big of a deal that i can get the knu is a tighter knot. Personally ill go to weldingsupply over knu for power wire next time i need some

are you still taking on orders?
He is in welding school. Has a little bit left, around the end of the month/start of next i believe. But he plans to take a couple builds/orders, but nothing extreme IIRC.

Make your own ring terminals
I like the idea, but either way you have to buy copper. I'd rather just buy them pre-made just in case i mess something up haha Glad that Edub posted that site. I just don't like that they don't show shipping until after your order (email saying how much it is i guess?). Seems sketchy to me.

Being able to learn from mistakes/past experience is a good mindset to have. Some just can't do it. Seeing that you're able to start off knowing that you will do better next time and give yourself opportunities to make little mistakes and learn is admirable. Nice going. (please don't take this as me being an ass, i'm not trying to say your work is crap right now, get what i mean?)- Upgrade to Xcon!!
Carpentry skillz!. I like it when people paint the port red with Xcons, clean.- stefanhinote's volvo v40 build
Cut some pvc, so it was a small ring, hot glued piece of construction paper around ring, then cut at an angle. Then taped edges to door. Not going to say this was the proper way, or even a good way to do it lol. I'm just getting my feet wet with all this glassing To attach the tweeter to the pod, I'll probably use a small wing nut through the plastic housing to the base of pod when it's finished. We'll see how it goes! Sounds good, have to learn somehow, right?- stefanhinote's volvo v40 build
Lookin' goood! How did you start the pod? just a ring and some glue?- 1991 Honda CRX Si
Hope so. When i put it in for a couple minutes i was surprised how well it did, but that was on my 1500 haha so that's not fair. - stefanhinote's volvo v40 build
