2006 Toyota Tundra by Handcrafted Car Audio
Do you pull the vinyl all the way to the back of the panel, or do you cut it right at the edge-wouldn't that be prone to peeling? You should make a youtube video of you wrapping a pod with vinyl sometime.

Jd377 97 Civic HB Build Log
True, true. Someday ill get one. Waiting to see how it works out for you in the long run. IIRC these can't really be seen from looking at the top of the motor, if it's anything like my car. But pictures would be sweet

That's so sweet. I want an alt... A DC alt, that is. Notice any difference in sound quality, or loudness or anything other than different numbers?

Need two 10-12" Subs to go with my saz-1500D SUGGSTIONS
Do you recommend one 12" then since its 800RMS, 1600 Peak. When buying a sub, COMPLETELY disregard the "peak" rating. If you wanted 2 SSDs which are rated at 800 wrms, then why not 2 of these? They will be fine on the 1500. Subs dont need their full rms rating to play, or get loud even. If you want more loud, build your box on the larger side of the recommended cubic footage, with this power supply.

My new hooptie, 1980 CoupeDeville. Bumping on a budget.
Good info, thanks! That's something im worried about, getting the mixture correct. Someday i'll tackle a FG job. Once/if i ever decide on 2 pairs of 6.5" , 2 drivers in each door. Keep up the progress!

2 12 SSD subs
could just use some silicone as a cheap way to seal them. The warranty wouldn't matter anyways, that's user error, not manufacturer's.

Like seeing FG jobs, want to do a pair of pods myself someday. You guys that make it look easy are my inspiration. What's the difference in using a heavier material, like you did rather than smaller pieces of lighter material, like "kitty hair" or whatever it's called.

2 12" ICONS AMPLIFIER QUESTION
x2 You don't need to feed a woofer the full RMS to get it to perform well. Just because a car has 400HP, that doesn't mean you have to mash on the gas wide open throttle everywhere to enjoy the performance of it...

Jd377 97 Civic HB Build Log
You can get precut tink for your whole car for about 30-40 dollars on ebay. Quality isn't the best, but it's something. That's what i did to my car's side windows. Definitely doesn't look professional, but good enough for now.

Patience is a virtue. Don't overdue yourself, stress is never a good thing. Take it a bit at a time and what you want will come.
