Decaf anyone.....

I've run a pair of 6.5's to add mid depth to a 5.25 and tweeter combo but don't get running 8's and 6.5's?

I have moderate hearing loss in my right ear. I don't hear any of the vocal range. I guess the old SS10R's were louder than I thought!!

Whcih amp would be best for the sub? The SAX 125.2 (bridged) or the SAZ 1000D?

[How aboput using an external xover with the 4 channel?

The HYbrids come with a passive xover. If I go active, I will have to use either an external xover (like the Arc IDX or Audio Control 6XS) or run off the head unit. I thought about switching the HU for the 800PRS. The head unit I have is still in the box brand new. I like it because it has the adaptors for the ipod and USB. Any thoughts on the amp question?

For HU's gotta go with Pioneer...especialy the Premier line. Great head units....fantastic service. Have owed Pioneer for 15 years. Only HU I will buy Amps - OLS SKOOL SOUNDSTREAM REFERENCE........PERIOD. Reference 500 is a freakin tank!!!!! Regret selling it. Arc KS, DLS and Sundown are up there as well. Sub - Image Dynamics Q12v2. Amazing SQ and loud enough for my old ears. Comps......HAT......I liked them so much I'll buy them!!! Processing...Audio Control.....EQT's are the best. Miss my ESP-2.

Here is my set up......so far Head Unit - Pioneer Premier DEH-P690UB Front Stage - Hybrid Audio CLarus 6.1 Sub - Image Dynamics Q12 (DVC)...just one Question is which amp would work best....the SAX 125.2 (bridged) or the SAZ 1000D? Also, I'm looking at going active setup. Will the built in crossovers in the SAX 100.4 work as an active setup? Thanks

One 12" is equal to 1.66 10" in terms of cone area. You also have to factor in the extra power. Remeber that to gain 3db you need to double the cone space or double the power. You wont get 3db with cone and power increase....maybe 2db which you can barely hear.

Why not buy a sub amp? If you are going to do something, do it right. Not enough room. I ony have a total of 27" across. A 125.2 and 1000D are too long.

I don't think that would give enough power to the sub. Sounds like only 200w total going to the sub.

I did some measurements and looks like the two amps will not fit. The pic is just a mock up for size and shape (the sub will be the other way and the amp is just there to see how everything will look). I'll add a fuse holder below the amp for show. I'm looking at the 3 channel DLS amp (100 x 2 and 500 x 1). Also asked how the SAX100.4 will putout in 3 channel form. Biggy - If you were to buy an amp for another car would you go DLS or Sundown?

Just wondering what the output would be on the SAX100.4 in 3 channel configuration on a 2 ohm load. Looking at powering a set of 2 ohm 6.5" comps and a DVC 4 ohm 12" sub. Thanks

I'm looking at the DLS RA 10 and RA20 to power my IDQ12v3D4 and CXS62 6.5" comps. How do the 125.2 and 1000D compare to the DLS in terms of clean power and features? Thanks
