$250 each? That seems like a little much. I've seen these go for like $150. If I remember correctly, I saw them go for $110 plus shipping on CA.com. Unfortunately I don't know much about the battery itself. Sorry.

Oops, you're right. I forgot about the coils when I was thinking about that. edit - I have read reports of the 1500.1 running at .5 so maybe you could run the 3000 at 1ohm. I'm guessing you just need a strong electrical to back it up.

Couldn't he just run 1 sub per channel? That would give each sub ~1500w RMS @ 1 ohm.

I just did a lot of research and really couldnt find no hard facts to back it up but I think it is 1 ohm stable when running two channels(1500 x 2 @ 1ohms) but 2 ohms stable when running one channel (3000 x 1 @ 2ohms) because its supposedly two 1500.1's put together in one case. Yeah I'm pretty sure you're right. It is 2 1500.1s strapped so it should do 1 ohm on 2 channels but only 2ohms mono. I almost picked up one of the 1500s myself but spent a little more money on something else. Doing rated or near to it, they are great amps for the price.

Funny but yes Im using solder. The wire wont get hot enough to melt the solder. Sorry wasn't tryin to be a douche. You just never know these days. lol. But ya try a torch like others have said. That should definitely do it.

I thought the bass boost knob on amps is a no-no because it usually results in a clipped signal. Is that really untrue for the AQ amps?
