  1. okay i wont lol how many do i need, 2? uhhh i'd say 1 or most likely two do you know what the Big 3 is? in terms of wiring under the hood of a car
  2. don't forget Deka. this one in particular Deka Intimidator 9A31H Battery
  3. how much money i want to spend is really what will work great. im not setting a price and saying i have to get an amp under a certain amount. my price is whatever amp will do the job the best and make me happy with the system. and you said the more power the amp produces, the more my truck has to produce which is another concern i have. I know im going to need at least a 250 amp alternator along with batteries but my question is how do peoples vehicles run when at idle with the system going? it just seems like the vehicle would shut off. im just curious what everybody with big systems do to overcome this or if its even a problem at all. well either amp will do the job. go with the 3500 since it's cheaper then. but yes you are right. you're going to need a high output alternator and some extra group 31 batteries. playing music at idle is fine if you have the electrical system to back it up.
  4. i have to venutre out into the snow in a little while so.. i'm going to make a video on my new iphone to test how it reacts to bass

  7. haha so all done deadening until a yukon is sitting in my drive way but i give major props to the boys at second skin. your products are awesome. IMO you guys are putting dynamat and all them to shame. you guys are on the rise to the top keep it up! (if you're not already there now lol) i have exerience with dynamat. and damplifier pro and your product is far better. using second skin i found no need for a heat gun... or blow dryer in my case haha. and i applied it when the weathe was in the high 30 degree range. which is still cold as f***. i plan on purchasing much more second skin products in the future. i also want to try some spectrum for the doors and all of those hard to reach places. it looks pretty promising thanks again for choosing me in the competition. i really appreciate my free door pack! do you see dynamat and those other companies out there on forums giving away free products? no. i didn't think so.
  8. you're going to drop big money for an amp(s) either way. in my opinion. i'd go with one Sundown 4500D or 3500D. with the 4500 the subs will get a little extra power. with the 3500 the subs will get pretty much exactly what they're rated for. so it basically comes down to how much money you want to spend. and then.. the more power your amp produces. the more power your truck is going to have to produce to support the amp.
  9. wash, rinse, repeat i also made the other door like this since the deadener was covering where the gasket would be
  10. well now here's the scenario. i know i had to apply some of the second skin in my car. so i decided to do a little patch on the driver and passenger door. just around the speaker hole. i know it's not enough but it stopped the rattling i could hear sometimes and IMO i think they sound a little better. i still have about 12 sq. ft. of deadener left. which i am saving for my next vehicle. which i should have soon. i hope. so there was no point of wasting deadener on my maxima which will be gone soon enough.
  11. laid out size comparison 13 sq. ft.
  12. wow it's been a while well i won a door pack from Second Skin not too long ago from Ant... thanks Ant! but uh still haven't posted up any pics of it. so i'm going to now!
  13. from what i've read.. don't bother with the bp option. and as for the amp. if i was you i'd run it off of either of these: -Sundown Audio SAZ-1000D -Sundown Audio SAE-1200D Refurbished SAE-1200D : dB-r Electronics, Online Store -Sundown Audio SAE-1000D
  14. nice flex port color is cool too
  15. lol likin' the seat flex
  16. I wouldnt even use it, just keep put it on when you need to get an inspection. Mine just slides all the way done until you cant see out of it and I get tired of positioning it back up so I just let mine sit there. probably what i'll end up doing, but yea i turned it up for a minute and it slid right down too
  17. x2, Sundowns are lovely amps might I add but you dont have to break your back to get one. Now if you want to do it just to join the dark side then please be my guest cause you will be happy one as we all are.
  18. im just gunna say screw it and keep bumpin until this one breaks too. i only got a new one so i could get an inspection sticker anyways, so whatever lol but this time around i'm not going to screw it on so tight like before. so there won't be so much stress
  19. for mainstream amps theyre pretty impressive don't think you'll regret your choice
  20. lol.. alright dude
