Nice amp choice! (my next choice in upgrading) 1" mdf should hold up nicely. Slap up some pics when you get the gear up and running!! I hope you weren't thinking I was knocking you in anyway I was just giving my personal experiences in mounting the amps to the enclosure. thanks man i'll let you know how i like it but i didn't really think you were knocking on me haha.. it's hard to sound friendly on here by typing without sounding goofy.. but i had my last amp mounted to the box and the amps still fine after maybe 6 or 7 years.. but it wasn't on a box with a btl in it so i wasn't really sure.. i definately want to put up pictures and mostly vids but wasn't really 100% on it since it seemed kind of out of place with all of the other crazy installs floating around but i think i'm gunna make a build log

Well, obviously you have to own an SSA subwoofer, if you don't own one, that fine, you can allways buy one. or four Then head on over to http://www.teamssaudio.com and submit the application for membership, thats it. haha i see now.. if i ever own an ssa subwoofer i will do that

i can help you out a bit. first off idk if you've came across this thread but here you go it can answer your question on how many sq inches of port and maybe a couple others. 30hz-34hz would probably work i'm guessing but i could be wrong. someone will correct me if so. but for the daily driving part... there's probably the same, if not more, amount of people who use btl's in daily driving setups. (MUST CHOOSE DAILY OPTION BTW) the rest is for the more knowledgable people.. i just figured i'd try to help..

haha ummm google maybe.. see if you can find which ones they are by image.. search memphis subwoofers until you find it/them.. provide pictures so maybe a more experienced person could tell you.. a couple words about 4 memphis subwoofers isn't enough dude.. then when you know what model subwoofer they are then you can find out what their RMS is.. feel me? best of luck

it's a sundown amp and a box made of 1" MDF that's jigged together so both are pretty solid. haha and i'm far from sloppy belieeeeeeeve me lol. thanks

I would not do it. It could be a perfect solution to mounting options/space but to me it seems over time all the vibrations the amp would be subject to is not gonna be good for the long term life of the amp. I'm sure though plenty of people with way more knowledge than me will chime in. Just my 2. yea that's what i was thinking also..the vibration and all. thanks though. hopefully they will haha

Might be a ridiculous question but i'd rather be safe than sorry. Is it an alright idea to mount my amp directly on the top of my box. Never really see it so i figured i'd ask. Just to throw it out there it will be a Sundown SAZ-2000D on a box for a Fi BTL 15". Thanks.
