  1. i have seen those batteries before and heard they off some of the best battery power around! the only negative is the 100lb!! other then that ppl say you can't get much better!!
  2. actually maybe i jsut need to charge the batteries fully.... can anyone help me with this? these are lead acid batteries so i think i have to unhook them from the front battery so i can fully charge them? does anyone know or can i just charge all 3 batteries? (2 in the back and one in the front) or shold i charge just the 2 batcap's at once? or separate? thanks in advance!
  3. o i forgot to add my grounding wires lol! my bad! i do have both batteries grounded to the chassis and i have 0/1 for all my wiring in my car expect my 100.4 that gets 4 gauge! as for having to batteries hooked up creating a bigger voltage drop i don't know! but if that is my issue then one of those puppies is coming out lol!
  4. no worries man you aren't jacking my thread! the only thing getting jacked in my life is my voltage lol!! other then that it is all good!! as for damaging your alt i don't think it will damage your alt if you go below 12volts all that will do is help to drain your battery i believe!
  5. also anyone know why my Reputation: -1 ? how is that calculated? and i notice everone else is 0 and jacob is +2 but some how i am -1? who did i piss off? anyone know? or can direct me to someone who does?
  6. i have the volt meter wired in parellel at the rear battery. but i will for sure hook a dmm up to the amp terminals and compare the 2 results. the meter is hooked up on the same battery which is hooked up to the amp! heere take a look at my ghetto drawing lol!! so anyways i am off to work now and i will be back home at 5am so i might pop on here when i get home! thanks everyone for your time and leave some suggestions! thanks!
  7. i c. so any further voltage drops means, like 12 volts and less, would mean i need to upgrade my alt? also if i had to upgrade my alt what would you recommened a 150amp alt? or more? thanks for your time
  8. Well i have finally gotten around to installing my saz2000d to power my 15inch NS at 1ohm! and let me tell you! it is loud!! Something i did notice though was with the sae1200 i would have a voltage drop of like 14.4-12.8 on the money and that was with the amp set with a dmm at 60hz at 1000rms. But with this 2000 in my trunk i get voltage drops of 14.4-12.8volts and that is set around 2000rms at 1ohm! also i was monitoring my voltage drop with a stinger voltmeter and the car was at idle which is about 750rmp. so i don't know i s12.8 good? should i upgrade my stock alt? right now i have 2 batcap 2000s in the rear and the big 3 done and that is it for upgraded electrical. I will get some pics of it tomorrow when i get my car back! right now my dad is working on my brakes, exhaust, and front ball joints! and i have to go to work for night shift! Kenneth
  9. Welcome back!
  10. rigth now i am running one sax100.4 and a saz2000 and my alt is stock (around 105-115) and i have a stock battery upfront and i have 2 batcap 2000's in the trunk! at full tilt i am seeing a 14.4volt to 12.5volt drop (at idle whihc is about 750rpm)! which isn't to bad for me! I also have the big 3 done! So if i were you i would just spend the money on a good battery and not worry about your alt! but i know ppl would recommend doing something else! but that is just my 2cents!
  11. alt 250-300 batteries about 3-4 batteries suggestion xs power 3100, batcap 4000, kinetik hc2400, or those crazy deka ones or evern those fricking power surge batteries are nuts! (or so ppl say) as for wiring 0/1 minium but 0/4 would be your best bet if you are going the 0/1 route use the knu stuff if the 0/4 umm pop into your welding store and see what they have!
  12. that a boy! play it safe!! hell at 2ohm those sub will still hit hard!! it isn't liek you aren't going to have no subs lol!! maybe it would be louder to just hook up one sub at 1ohm rather then both of them?
  13. go with deka! don't go for that rebadged stuff lol!! keep the money in america! (i think deka is american made?) my buddy has a 1800hc under his hood and a 2400hc in the rear and to tell you the truth on 1200rms his volts will drop from 14.5v to 13.1 at full tilt and car at 1.5-2krpm! hope this helps with your choices
  14. when he asks how many runs he is asking how many runs of 0/1 (or bigger) wire do you have RUNNING from the front to the back. say i have a 12ft run of positive and a 12ft run of negative wire from the front of my car to the rear! i will have 2 runs total, 2 runs of 0/1 guage wire from front to back!! also nice setup man it should pound loudly lol!! and YES get a volt meter lol unless you are damn good at guessing your voltage from the rear batteries! lol! and more batteries like 4 would help you out greatly!
  15. awesome!!! make sure to take lots of pics!!!
  16. i would say for a 4500d bigger is better!! but what are you running for batteries? like 2-4batteries in your trunk i hope? lol!!
  17. when i got my 15inch NS sub the shipping box was pretty beaten up dude to the shear weight of it i would guess (nearly 60-65lbs) and ppl being pretty damn weak lol! but yet the expert packing from sundown saved the day!! 4 subs and a 1200d in a mini sound like you might have to build a wall..? lol!!
  18. strapping your amps at 2ohm (so each amp will see 1ohm each) would be the safest way to run any sundown amp! do you plan to run your amps at 2ohm or 0.5ohm?
  19. DAMN my soleniod is worth that much lol!! ya mine is a PAC-200 and like i said i will sell it to you for 35$ shipped as promised lol!! ya i think i deleted your e-mail to me, send me a p/m here of your e-mail and i will fire off some e-mails and pics to you ASAP! sorry about that!
  20. Upgrading your cars wire to 1/0 gauge will help with the voltage alot especially just by upgrading the two ground wires only(I went from starting at 14.0-14.1volts when my car started to 14.5-14.7v whenever I start my car depending on the temperature outside after just upgrading my ground wires only). I would use around a 150 anl fuse for your power wire, maybe not that big since you will be running the amp at 2 ohms but someone else may chime in if they feel differently about the size of anl fusing. are you sure 150amp? i though after 120 amps 4gauge wire starts to heat up depending on what the wire is! also maybe do the BIG 3 jsut b/c it helps out with everything in your car!
  21. Congrats the sae is a very clean amp and you should be happy with it! first off 4 gauge will be fine to power your amps 4gauge i believe you should be able to support about 1000rms and you want to do like 700-800rms. Anyways the correct way to do it would be to use a 1 run of 0/1 gauge wire to the back (where the amps are) then use a fused distro block to power both your amps. i say use 1 run of 0/1 guage wire rather then 2 runs fo 4gauge b/c a single run would be easier to work with it and i would clean up your install. a distro block that you can use would be one of these http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?Category=Distribution / Fuse Blocks they are pretty cheap and look cool! as for fuse sizes you should be okay with 90-120amp fuses each. wiat you siad the car already has some 4gauge in it then you should be good lol! no need to rewire stuff!!
  22. i used to have a pioneer premier h/u and it has a shyt load of functionality and plenty of feature to play with the one i had was the 8800phr one with a 30bar EQ and all the bells and whisltes it was awesome till the damn pico fuse blow on me and i kept getting a buzzzing sound in all my speakres! so i switched it with a kenwood ecellon 817dvd 7inch flip out monitor. i didn't notice any difference in SQ but i did lose a lot of cool features. overall i think the kenwood was easier for me to use and the poineer was more techinical, the pioneer also skipped and the kenwood is damn hard to make it skip. (skipping due to my sub pounding to hard) hope that helps Kenneth
  23. the one i have for sale is a 200 amp relay/ battery isolator! i will sell it for 35$ shipped. but ya post a link to the 2 singer soleniods. also with a BATTERY ISOLATORS you WILL have a voltage drop of 0.5-1.5volts with a soleniod you will NOT have any voltage drop. so becareful and know what you are getting. this is a battery isolator which will give you a voltage drop (i think) http://www.stingerelectronics.com/productDetails.aspx?delineate=40&CategoryID=12&ParentID=1 if you are interested in my soleniod send me an e-mail at [email protected] and i will send you some pics and what not! (how much power will you be running) Kenneth
  24. o wow now i am looking forward to installing my saz2000 on my 15inch night shade! i can't wiat to get metered!!!
  25. so any enclosure idea's? also how much can they handle? if 8 of them can handle 2k lol i might want to buy 8 of them depending on the enclosure spec's lol!!! i wonder how 8 of them would sound and what kind of db one would achieve!
