What to do?
actually i have one more RELAY install question to ask! on the internet site they say to wire the relay like so 85 - ground 30 - 12volt power 86 - REM 87 - Amp/fans I have been reading a few things and ppl say to wire it like this instead 85 - ground 30 - amps/fans 86 - REM 87 - 12volt power (with 20amp fusing) my question is..which one is correct? and if the first one is correct why would someone suggest the second idea? and is there any benefit to which number i use for the amps/fans (either 30 or 87) thanks again!! Kenneth here is how they say to wire it on the site and other ppl suggest switching 87 and 30

What to do?
Hey guys i need some more knowledge from the ever so wise ppl here on SSA! Here is my problem. current setup is: 1-15inch NS 1- sae1200d amp big 3 0/1 wire 1-100.4 and 2 batcap 2000's in the trunk! my problem is when the bass hits even at 1200rms my lights will dim it isn't a bad dimming but still a diming occurs and when the new saz 2000 arrives i am worried i will be running into a problem...The only remedy that i have heard to fix this is to get a cap? but if i get cap would i wire the cap before or after the batteries? and what kind a cap should i get? any ideas would help me out A LOT!!!! thanks for your help and advise Kenneth

Fans blowing or sucking?

Fans blowing or sucking?
one more question with the amp being cooler would i benifit anything? like extra wattage or the abilty to play louder for longer? or just that my amp will be nice and cool!
-
Fans blowing or sucking?
i never thought about it that way! you guys are so smart! i think i will have the air flow coming from the right (battery side) and blowing over the amp from right to left that way the hot air goes into the empty space! you ppl are so smart! thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!! Kenneth so something like this then!

Fans blowing or sucking?
Alrighty down to business! Take note of my 2 pics below. The first pic shows a piece of mdf with 4 12volt fans in it to cool the amp which is under it. Notice the second pic where the amp is underneath the fans. I am doing this so i don't lost 100% of my trunk as i will be going back to school in september. I guess this is a makeshift amp rack! My question is should my fans be blowing onto the amp? Or sucking the hot air off of the amp? I assume blowing (cooling ) the amp but i thought i would double check! and also should i be using 4 or will 2 work just as well! the fans i am using are: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=259-150 amd yes i know my pics blow! thank for your time Kenneth

SAX125.2 speaker hiss/distortion
i hate hissing! does your hissing get louder when you rev the engine? for my car whenever i turn the music down i can hear a faint hissing/ alt wine noise and it gets louder as my tack goes up. i have no clue where mine is coming from and i have done all the things you have done! the only apparent fix for me was to buy a pair of these! lol! http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl....012&scqty=2 and yes i have tried better rca and my noise didn't go away, and yes i ran the power and rca on opposite sides of the car, plus i have even grounded my rca! lol! i have run out of idea's lol!

Which battery woud you pick?
Hey guys I was just wondering what what ppl would choose! either 2 - batcap 2000 bnib or 1 XS d5100 and 1 xs d3100 bnib The batcaps will be about $536shipped The xs will be about $650shipped. The price isn't a factor to me i am just wondering which would be a better pick? my car audio right now is 2krms and in the future i wnat to push 4-5krms thanks for your time and suggestions Kenneth

XS Power Side mount Posts
Hey guys I had some fast questions for anyone with knowledge. first of all i want to buy a powermaster d3100 and a d5100 from www.soundsolutionsaudio.com What I am looking for is the side mount posts for the d5100 battery. I didn't see them on the website so i thought i would just give them a call and ask if they have them availbe. But they don't have a number listed, and i already left another e-mail about something else and I haven't heard back from them yet, so needless to say i would like to get a phone number so i could call them. my question is does anyone have this phone number so I can give them a call? nightshade 18`s rms
get a life the nightshades are the same weather its a 12 or an 18 only diffrence is the cone size motor, coil, and spiders are all the same Do not bash on other members in this fashion. Instead, follow Memphismzd's way of refuting the statement. Thankyou KU40! but serious it was was half to say give it a shot but be careful. and the rest of it was b/c for some odd reason i thought the 18inch had a longer coils (which is why i thouhgt it could handle more power) in it but as ppl were fast to correct and bash me i was wrong! and i am sorry if i confused anyone! and thanks again KU40

nightshade 18`s rms
well if the 15inch can handle 2krms all day long the 18inch should be able to handle like 3krms all day long lol. but then again better be safe then sorry and just give it what is recommended! (like anyone follows the recommendations anyways lol)
