  2. CrazyKenKid posted a topic in Sundown Audio
So I have gotten my 2-SAZ2500(and they are strapped at 2 ohm) installed on my 2-NS v1 15inch subs. I know the gain isn't set 100% and i am using my gain knob. the gain on the amp is set 60% (that is the position of it) and the gain knob is set to about 3 clicks up... when my h/u is at 40/50 and a bass line plays for a good 30 seconds the bass cuts out and doesn't come back on until i reset my h/u? my first idea was it is going into protect to I looked back and nothing both light were blue...the only thing is maybe it flashed into protect and then back into normal really fast but then my question is when an amp goes into protect and when it comes out of protect shouldn't it turn back on? so I think i just have a gain issue on the amp and if i turn it down i should be okay.. what are your thoughts? Kenneth I never had this issue before and i have never been in protect before so this is all new to me lol! so i thought i would ask it up!

  4. Hey I got a pair of ns v1 15inch subs but I live in Canada lol that is the only catch and I am on night shift sorry man unless you want to pop over lol
  5. question... 5 channel amp? wouldn't this idea be better in a 5channel amp? or is 5channel completely different setup from a beefy as 4channel amp (like this one)
  6. lol i don't think my br in and out have been switched but i know if i unlink the amps i could run into an issue i would think? b/c the terminals are still pluged in together no? plus wouldn't the ohm load change? and i would only be powering 1 coil from the sub(s) ?
  7. as for cutting plexy best idea i have found is to c-clamp it to a pice of a 2x4 and use a zip wheel on it! but 3/4 thick i don't know that is tuff stuff! maybe take it to a shop and see if you can use there band saw! taht would be the best and fastest way to cut it!
  8. o wow fancy fans! and expensive! Keep in mind look at the cfm it is 54 an 80mm pc fan is about 40 cfm and a 120mm pc fan is about 80 cfm and 120mm case fans cost about 23$ for a decent one http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3478786&CatId=494 with my fan build I just used 4 80mm fans (2-saz2500) and I haven't had a single issue with over heating at all. (knock on wood) lol and my 80mm fans costed about 11 each! (plus they turn on with a pretty blue color just like the SAZ turn on lights same color)
  9. o wow compact and powerful!

  17. Sundown isn't selling out but maybe expanding and growing ever great company starts small then they go big time it is called making money. Sure some company hit it big then ride the fame wave while quality declines but Jacob doesn't sound like a guy to start something and not see it though he isn't a sell out but then again money makes people crazy LOL since the love of money is the root of all evil LOL And if Jacob is expanding his market I say go for it all the power to him it is company after all and he isn't a dummy. And he knows what he is doing
