  1. wowo 1500rms and over 150 db on a little 8inch sub lol!! that is intense! congrats!!! that sundwon continues to blow my mind each day! lol sundown ftw!
  2. i think with those gain knobs for the 100.4 it is jsut a conviences thing! i don't use mine!
  3. wow nice job!! and question i didn't notice how much power you were hammering at that sub? a pair of sae1200's?
  4. sounds like a wierd issue, did you buy it bnib or from db-r? also did you pop off the back cover yet to see if some thing looks fishy? sorry just noticed your last posted you mensioned "straight from sundown"
  5. i always thought the iPod vs. 3mm jack the iPod connector would always win b/c in some cases it allows you to use your h/u rather than your iPod and it has potential to get louder
  6. umm a 3k setup!! very cool!! what ohms are the subs going to be? (or what do you plan to run the amp at) AND very nice selection on the amp!
  7. it was also my understanding that pre-oout voltage doesn't mean to much anyways b/c when the music it playing the pre-out voltage will dip even lower, like my pre-outs are i think 5volts and i get somewhere around 1.5volts when playings, all that means i you have to set your gains on your amp(s) a bit higher. it is a like trade off! high pre-out voltage and low gain setting or low preout and higher gain setting. and if the preout voltage is killing you you cna always use one of those line drivers by RF
  8. hey the saz15000 are on sale right now.. 425$ bnib i think till january 5th, and thye cna do like 1900plus rms at 12volts! lol! unregulated amp
  9. well if you are planning on car audio in the future keep the kenwood due to the preouts and more things you can do and what not! and if you aren't keep the alpine! lol now is an mp3 player louder then a cd, it depends on if you normallize your songs or not or how the song is recorded from my understanding that is. but i am sure shizzzz or jay would know better about this theory. so i guess the real questions are, what are your future goals and listening habbits? like if i always have an ipod on me i would stick with a ipod ready h/u but i am a cd/dvd kind a guy (whihc is what i am)!!
  10. keep the voltage up and ANY amp will love you long time! spoken like a true master!!!!! lol !! thumb up!! you rock man! i will give you a plus 1 for that!!!
  11. how about making an amp rack to stack the amps and get them out of the way to allow for a bigger box or maybe even standing them up on end some how! to get even more space! and yes i know you are still making idea's and what not!!
  12. that box seems to be pretty small for a 15. maybe a 12 would be in order. you said above ported to 35hz =ish. i didn't see a port off hand, and i know this is just a rough sketch. but it looks good! but maybe a 12 for sure if you box is going to be that small off hand. maybe evne one of those 12inch NS which need a 1.5cubic box(if memory serves lol) but for sure i love how it all looks!! also what about heat you say the amps will be under a false floor?
  13. you know i seen those deka 9a31 for about 150 unbranded (so no logo) being sold from some site whihc i can't rember for the life of me. but ya deka is a great battery to consider also!
  14. sounds like a nice little setup! you said size is to be considered so what size are you looking for, for the battery that is. you didn't call out specific sizes and how about a budget for the battery? to support a my saz2000 and sax100.4 i am using 2-batcap 2000's and have little to no issues and i also have the big 3 and 1 run of wire from front to back, i also have a 200amp alt! and the batcaps are only 50ah each and super small (size wise) but the batcaps are meant for a burp due to their small reserve and how fast they can discharge. but for my daily application of a saz2000 and 100.4 along with a Night shade D2 it suits me very well! and yes i also have a voltage meter so i can keep an eye on everything. as for bigger batteries go with a kinetik 2400, stinger, XS power3100, power surge2000 if you got a bigger budget. as for bigger and cheap try out some deka g31 or batcap's 2000, or even the nsb 90's! for smaller batteries go with the above listed names just the smaller versions for what they offer. but all this depends on your price range and space available, and i will be selling my 2-batcap 2000's with a charger and bus bars in the future so if you would like to try those out shoot me a p/m (they are about 30lb each)
  15. I can say that about all the orions and sundown amps i have owned in my life time also! it all depends on how you are going to use or abuse your equipment! and i rarely ever hammer on my stuff or run it at 0.5ohm or anything crazy like thaT!
  16. aww good save! and here is the link to back it up! thanks man for catching me!
  17. 600$ for 1500rms that is a decent price but i know if you look into sundown the sae 1200 (outputs over 1770rms at 1ohm) the saz1500(outputs 1900plus) and those amps cost around 250-350 and the saz 2000 is about 475bnib (and outputs 2500Plus) and the saz 3000 is around 575 and the saz 3500 is around 800 (if you can find it) and out puts close to 3800! so before you drop 600$ on something just shop around and remember used amps are normaly so much cheaper!
  18. Nvm got it to work! internet was being ghetto! and nice video!! 1-12 on 2- 3k! nice!! lmao ducktape ftw! ( i seen duck take being used a lot more often lately, is this a lazy man thing? lol)
  19. hey make sure when you get these horns all set up you post a good review b/c i might have to buy a set eh! and also include how you set them either if you use a dmm or if you use a oscope or just by the good ol ear! and make a video if you get time!!
  20. yes if i understand the question. but mabye if the power supply in the 125.2 is regulated then no. so this would be more of a personal question to jacob lol!
  21. http://www.sengpielaudio.com/calculator-ohm.htm so if you have resistance and wattage (power) it is the square root of WxR √((PxR)) and ^0.5 is also the same thing as the square root!!
  22. so how much does pending cost? 150-200 lol!!
  23. I guess you missed it! lol! "There is NO ETA YET... price is also pending." last line of the first post by Jacob!
