  1. ya that is the knu in white right? that stuff is SUPER thick and hard to work with, the other stuff though the mroe expensive stuff is SO Much easier to use! i am refering to the Kolossus Fleks Kable http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?category=Kolossus Fleks Kable the knu white stuff the cheaper stuff is a pain to work with i find! like for example look at my 2 pics. in the 1 you can see how much the white wire didn't want to bend and in the other the black wire (and red) bent no problem. the black and red is fleks kable and the other pic is the KLMX and this is ALL 1/0 wiring. and the blue i believe is the kicker stuff! also if you notice in the second pic how easy the black wire bent compared to the white wire!
  2. i have used kicker and knu wire and i prefer the knu stuff myself. i currently have a 100.4 and a saz2000 (1ohm) and i have ONLY 1 run of 1/0 wire, from knu, from front to back and in the rear i have 2 batcap 2000's wired also with 1/0 wiring(1 run). IDEALY you want to use the biggest wire you can get to get the resistance down or just more runs of 1/0 wire (remember hooked in parallel the resistance will drop lol) i have HEARD that welding wire is about the same to use just stiffer but WAY more cheaper. you have to be careful though b/c the jacket on the welding wire is less durable so watch out for cuts or anything of that nature. also if you are looking to get it cheap there is a site called... weldingsupplies.com or something like that but those are my thoughts i hope they help out a little!
  3. how cow that is ODD send that video to jacob or chris (at db-r) and see what they say or even ssa store for that matter! wow i never seen that before and i was going to say a bad grounded but you even switched amps! so wow! interesting
  4. there are BNIB ones on EBAY for i think 500$ take a look! the 12/15/18! as for a enclosure i think it is around 5.5-6cubic AFTER displacement tuned to say ...35 lol!! but i could be wrong!!
  5. have you considered a sundown amp? like a SAZ2000 or SAZ1500 or even a SAE1200d (280 bnib)?? and i have never personnaly used either of those amps! but my buddy has used the mtx one and i didn't mind it! i actually thought it was pretty good!! so from my buddies point of view go with the mtx!
  6. i got a buddy selling his 2-15inch NS d1. if you are interested P/M me and if you aren't look at EBAY!!! 499BNIB
  7. did i ever tell you i love your avatar? lol! the king knocking off the ronald!! awesome!!!
  8. i assume you DON"T have another battery in your setup other then the front battery right? and what is your front battery? if it is an AGM i know it is bad to charge those at higher then 14.5-14.7 volts and if it is RESTING at above 15 you might have hurt or SHORTENED the life of your battery depending on what it is of course! but nice voltage all the same but a little high for my likings! loL! and most definitely look into buying a DMM for yourself to have on hand! and you mentioned you have a stinger volt meter? when you got it did you calibrate it at all? i know when i got mine my voltage was out by a good 1.5 volts!! if you remove the cover plate there is a little screw there!! if i was you i would set the stinger volt meter to match a dmm reading. do it once at normal condition(music volume at low) then again with your music up loud and what not!! Just to get the most accurate reading!
  9. hey pos the link you were on. with the 12volt site i was just saying if you wanted to run your LED through your harness the 12volt site would tell you which color of wire to tap into for power and rem. so you could turn on the LED when you turned on your truck.
  10. looks like another satisfied customer! make sure to leave a review on the sundown section once you get the amp and install it!!
  11. http://www.youtube.com/MaxxsonicsUSAInc#p/search/2/p82xRzCr-lc big 3 upgrade!
  12. well 1/0 wire upgrade is in my books a must have!! and how many amps does the 03 passat output (stock)?
  13. you are welcome! and jsut a word of advise you don't away get response this fast! normally good things you got to wiat for lol!! but some nights you get lucky and some nights you have to wiat!
  14. well don't wiat to long for the sae b/c before you know it the preorder will be all done! and the price wil like double! lo!
  15. ya and at 12.5volts! and the was the v1! and the v2 is a beffed up version! lol!! nice eh! you should get one!! just do it! and if you plan to upgrade down the road you will be good to go!
  16. you should! it is one of the best reads on SSA forums lol!! and writen by an even better guy!!
  17. well for starters that is a refub one and it only puts out 1200rms! so how reliable do you think the refub is? if it was by db-r then it would be awesome but from someone else can you trust them? hell i would jsut get the sae1200 (at least we know it can output a ton of power check out the specs of the v1 (1770rms) other thenn that plenty of ppl use hifonics my buddied used one a while ago and well it broke so he got it repaired and it broke again then he got it repiared and the company went bankrupt and stole his amp! lol! o well you win some you lose some eh! but for sure let other ppl chime in abou them and don't take my word for it.
  18. lol deadener ftw lol!! all i can say about deadener is make sure the surface is clean as a whistle and don't but it up each piece! either over lap-it or leave a gap! also doulbe it up and beind the speaker (comps) triple it up!! so 3 layers directly behind the speaker, 2layer above it and if you can fit a third run just do 1 layer! it is what i did and i love it!! they sound awesome!!
  19. 4 x 250W RMS (15Hz to 35kHz) @ 4Ohm 0.04% THD 4 x 450W RMS (15Hz to 35kHz) @ 2Ohm 0.04% THD very nice output! loL! i wonder how much it can acttually output though
  20. i thought you were asking how to illuminatea piece of plexy glass and how to hook up the led. sorry man
  21. maybe just wire it to a relay(or the ignition wire) so it turns on when you turn your truck on? and put the LED on the EDGE of the plexy take a loook on 12v.com if you need a wiring diagram to wire into the harness.
  22. um i jsut found this http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=376875 it might give you a little LITTLE direction take a quick read
  23. 10x better.. i don't know if i can believe that. after hearing my zapco's i don't know man 10x is a lot lol!! i guess i got to hear a pair some day! maybe yours! you live close to canada? lol jk! you live in like FL lucky guy!
  24. so you got component speakers, sound deadener, component amp? and now you have the sub and need another amp for the sub correct! and your budget is 200-300! so that sae1200 falls right in your price range then! and since you got the money don't wiat! buy it today b/c i think the pre-sale will be ending soon!! so get yours before the prices goes up!! or buy a reburb saz1000d from db-r! if he repairs it comes with a 1year warrenty and there are son many ppl on here who can vouche for his work and how good he is and all the other good stuff!! http://www.db-r.com/sell/store2/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65_67_69_80&zenid=6v912oqglnj7e0iqd9sno06j03 or see if he will have any sae1200d v1 availble yet! he is sold out of them right now! but you never know kids fry stuff all the time! lol!! question what are you using for your components to power them? and how many do you have? just a front stage or a rear stage also?
  25. speak of the devil i found one lol!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/Orion-8002-2ch-Car-Audio-Amplifier-Rare-Limited-Edition_W0QQitemZ260497624914QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amplifiers?hash=item3ca6de4f52 i used one of these to power 4-8inch subs at 4ohm and omg it sounded awesome!!
