well first of all it sounds like this is going to be a daily driver and your buget being 200$!! do you plan on upgrading your setup in the future? like adding another 15inch sub down the road! and this is your sub correct? https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154ae4f8f845deb/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0040_SSD/product_overview.shopscript

lovely electric smell - new amp install
hey man the best way to do anything is to do it yourself! i know hard work sucks but you tried taking it the short cut way and taking it to a shop and look where that left you....but then agian we learn by doing right! experience is the best teacher. and before you do anything if you don't know ASK! there are no dumb question jsut dumb answers (i know i have supplied a bunch of those in my time ) anyways go for it re-run all the wiring jsut to be safe! i would actual it is what i did! and be sure to use like 16 or 14 gauge wire on your speakers! KNU has some double twisted stuff that i used and i love it! it keeps the wires neat! http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?category=Karma SS Speaker Kable (take a peek) also what did you mean by dash tweeters and getting em out and than trying to run cable? you are a little scared to PULL out your tweeters and runing wire? why? jsut disconnect your battery negitive terminal and don't worry about it! you will be safe! or are you worried about putting it all back together? if you are just take pics of the uninstall and LABEL all the screws. it helps out a lot! and once you do it enough you can do it without even thinking about it! i knwo my first time taking apart my trim in my car i was like damn this isn't never going to go back together and i will have lke 10 extra screws lol turns out it went back together and i had one extra screws! so i held onto it and the next time i took my stuff apart i found a hole and put it in there! it was that easy! trust me nothing is scarier then the first time, but once you get over it and do you are good to go! (just like in life! and if you compare everything i siad to sex it all makes sense) lol enjoy your day, lighten up, take chances, and if you get stuck just ask for help! and let us know how it turns out!

2 12" FI Q's..........what amp would you all reccomend??
well with that kind a budget jsut get teh SAE 1200d from the above link i have posted. the SAE1200d (v1) did about 1700rms plus and the sae1200d (v2 the link i am refering to) is so much more and really beffed up!! other then that do the big 3 first, get a second battery (maybe a xs power 5400 or kinetih hc 1400) and if your electrical still suck and dips below 12.4 then go with a H/O (high output alt) for your car!! here is the big 3 on youtube http://www.youtube.com/MaxxsonicsUSAInc#p/u enjoy and be sure to take a ton of pics and maybe a video of everything!! as for learnign that comes with the install and making mistakes! we all learn from mistakes!! but try not ot make them b/c they could be costly! lol! other then that you said something like a single 12? well if you want a big boom go with 2-12's or 1-15inch sub and i thikn you will be pleased with that setup!! and forward fire it into the cab and have the port in the same direction as the sub! you can simply use the RE CALC to build a box with! it worked for me and my first 15inch sub! http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html just plug in what you know and what you don't know ask us and we can help you out! and the calc does the rest! (just fill in the RED numbers) enjoy and get back to us with an update!

LMOA wowwww watch that thing goo!! lol awesome! what is the cub and tuning of your box? and nice interior btw!- amp suggestions
- lovely electric smell - new amp install
yep sounds like the ground is fine. as for the speaker what happened to it? blown? and that sucks on the shipping mix up! but for sure let us know what happens!- amplifier gain question
welll for starters don't worrry about impedance rise unless you are going to be burping!! as for calc your voltage i just use the ideal ohm load b/c as your coils get hot and cold the ohms will change. so if you have d2 sub you can calc your voltage using wither 4ohm or 1ohm load! but hey take a look at this chart! at 1500rms from 1-1.4 oohm there is 10volts difference! so if you wnat just add like 5volts break the difference! and see how it goes!- adding a second battery
nice!!!! make sure to have install pics man!! and 18's anything is just stupid- adding a second battery
why buy mine lol but the 300amp one for 15$ lol half the price! lol! but ya if you wnat to buy mine 30$ shipped! lol!! send me a p/m if you are interested though! see battery isolators are the things whih cost more but are much easier to hook up BUT you will get a voltage drop and the drop will depend on the isolator you get and this will be called out on the spec manual! http://www.adventurerv.net/high-performance-battery-isolator-200-amp-p-4006.html- adding a second battery
or this one! a 300amp soleniod! http://www.tractorsupply.com/trailers-towing/trailer-parts/trailer-electrical-wiring/other-trailer-wiring-parts/conduct-tite-battery-cut-off-switch-300-amp-battery-isolator-1042110?cm_mmc=affiliates-_-froogle-_-datafeed-_-1042110- adding a second battery
umm for a PAC200 (pac being the best) 30-40$ and on amazon say 44shipped unless you get it when it is on sale for 22$!! and mine 30$ shipped lol!! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CEBXRS- adding a second battery
yes sir in both diagrams there are 2 batteries in each! that is b/c when i made those pics awhile ago i was using 2 batteries in the rear! - Made another 10" Nightshade
