  1. umm it was my understanding that you first set your gain on the amp via a tone (50-60hz) then set the knob all the way to the left, min then plug it in. and away you go! when you turn the knob to max it will be max of the gain that you set. so if you turned your gain to say 30volts, when you turn the knob to max you will get 30v!
  2. hey i never thought of that lol. thanks i will e-mial him right now!! thanks again!
  3. I would say yes that 90Ah will be ok for the 2-SAZ-2000D's but if you go to a competition or try to pound at full tilt for a while it may be a small factor (but it depends since music is dynamic). I would suggest upgrading your starting battery to give you that extra AH if worried about it or it becomes a problem since you can get those batteries cheap. thankyou so much for your reply! and i will take your recommendation to upgrade my head battery and i can get the nsb 90's for 150 each in canada just incase someone was wondering how cheap. and i don't mean to be a dick or rub it in.
  4. Nightshade v.2 = 2000-watt RMS model * ETA is mid 2010 (maybe sooner) is that the refered to as the monster?
  5. ya but if it is turning off without a huge current draw why is it shutting off still? something has to be wrong. and maybe at the h/u
  6. x2 it isn't very safe! but coming from me as i watch movies while i am driving! do as you see fit lol!! will it work while in motion...umm i should think of it as a cell phone! as you move the cell still gets signal strengh right? and if you are moving into a signal you should get pretty good picture lol!! but then again that is just what i think and i cuold be 100% wrong on that! so don't take my word for it!
  7. i c! interesting!! and good idea! and what do you drive right now>?
  8. why would you use a 3500 at 4ohm? just get a nice 2channel amp. 750 rms isn't to much. and yes i think you will need another battery a small one to prevent your lights from dimming!
  9. i am glad i got mine before you ran out! lol!!
  10. will do, thanks anyways ur logic makes sense but im just makin sure awesome! thanks! well i am off to bed now be sure to post an install thread with a bunch of pics and maybe video! and good luck and feel free to ask question!! just do some reseach before asking the question! some (most) admins will complain to you if you don't and tell you to read the noob posting guide lol!! and above enjoy your stay and learn a lot! i know i have!
  11. here is a cool website i jsut found! read the ground section about a little more then 1/2 way down the page http://www.mmxpress.com/technical/ampinstall.htm then give this quick read about fusing and fires if you don't fuse! http://www.mmxpress.com/technical/fusing.htm second paragraph!! very interesting read lol!! and good comparision on why to use inline fusing! happy reading and enjoy!
  12. i don't know lol!! i jsut hook up the ground up first so the POWER has somewhere to go once you put the power in. but if you have no fuse in there is no power anywyas. as for the little sparks i guess they are coming from ground lol what else is hooked up lol! but i imagine i am so wrong on that and i know someone else will chime in tomrrow morning!! so just hang on for a few hours for a full answer on that!
  13. and yes techinically speaking you should have one more fuse between the batteries BUT if your batteries are super close don't worry about it! and remember we use fuse to be safe! if something were to happen the fuse would pop! and if you didn't have the fuses there the wire could catch on fire and potential burn down your car! which isnt' good!
  14. well here is how I WOULD do it. to be safe! AND i also included rest of the big 3 upgrade! so you don't BLOW the amp simple jsut tkae out of the inline fuse leading to the amp and plug the ground in first! you might get a little spark but don't worry. does this fully answer your question?
  15. UMM i am lost! (See that wasn't hard! llol) so the RD 3250 is your amp! and those other 2 box's before the amp are batteries? i assume? if so you are MISSING a fuse!
  16. So in my electrical class my group and I are doing a project on MOSFET's and I will be bringing in some MOSFETS (blown and new) for some show and tell, then I wanted to bring in my amp (saz2000) and show that off but then I looked at the board and I was like umm maybe I should learn all the parts and how the amp works! so here is my amp's guts (i got the pic from another forum the saz2000 pre-sale one!) so here is what I understand (i hope i am not 100% wrong) on the far left and right sides those are the MOSFETS, the power supply are the 4 red coils, the caps are on the bottom center and top, the teal things I don't know (top center) the pre-amp is all that stuff at the top of the pic, (the signal processor and other things, can someone explain what all that is at the top) now for the real question is how are the MOSFETS wired? from what i understand the MOSFET act like a switch but how are they wired in and what do they do actual? (do they do the amplifying?) i know these are pretty basic question to most ppl but i just want to be sure when i am talking to the class about what is actually going on so i don't mess something up. so any help would be hot! thanks for any and all help Kenneth
  17. that a boy! don't wiat! b/c after pre-sale this price will go up to like... REGULAR price will be $350 MAP / $549 MSRP when in stock!
  18. don't wiat to long! and you can never loose with sundown!! lol!
  19. as for an ETA: "Pre-sale will be closed on November 15th !" so i am assuming somewhere around that time and the price AUGUST - $250 each SEPTEMBER - $260 each OCTOBER - $270 each NOVEMBER - $280 each so hurry up make your purchase i don't know if you seen this but check it out!
  20. well you could have used a reducer thingy. i forget the name but ya 1/0 is okay to use! but for sure have you seen tthe clamp on the 1500? it is insane also notice that the 1200 used was the v1 and it was putting out nearly 1700rms and the new 1200d v2 is build about 2x time tuffer! so keep that in mind!
  21. i would do it! the 1200d will make so much more power plus the hifonics has like 4gauge terminals and the 1200 has 1/0 terminals!! so there is a plus one! lol!
  22. congrats!! it looks very clean and nicely build!! you should post some video next!!!! and good job!! lol and the best part is you are powering it with a 125.2 lol!!
  23. good point! i never thought of that before~ thanks for bringing that into perspective! so since i have a h/o (200amp alt) i guess i can use 2 nsb90's for 150 each!!! sweet! thankyou so much!! you rock man!
