All size(10,12,15) Adire Brahmas have 29 mm XMAX. Oh and accuracy has a lot more to do with enclosure than with the size of the sub. Although the smaller subs can typically play the upper bass with more authority and the larger ones can play the lower bass with authority(typically)

or you can hire someone to get the crossovers done but it can become very costly. Do the 5.1 if you are doing surround dvd's or dvd-a's. And as stated before a new receiver or preamp/amp will help a bunch.

Is it the same power RMS for both 4 ohm and 2 ohm? If it is, stick with two DVC 4's and run it at 4 ohm, less distortion from pushing the amp.

It's expensive but not horrible depending on the size of the package(since overseas freight is based on size). I shipped a couple of speakers that were very heavy and pretty big for less than $300 US
