  1. Yeah i'm really interested in the SI BM's. That's my issue as well. I have room and *could* drop a 2cft^3 box in the back - BUT that really kills available space. I want room for the dog on trips, camping equipment, runs to home depot etc. Having it(them?) tucked into my quarters will leave me space to do that and hopefully still give me some really good bass. What are you looking at yourself? Waiting for the SI BM's? Any idea on real world ETA? thx!! I am seriously considering the BM's, Soundsplinter RLi 8"s and 10"s, Mach 5 ixl 10", and those REs right now since I am in no hurry to install right now. My full audio system probably won't be ready until the end of next year since I have to make a lot of payments with house, car payments, and don't really want to lose the interior warranty.
  2. I had a claw ported to 34hz in a 2.3 cube enclosure. Quite the output with good sound. I am voting on DMM/o-scope as well for setting gains.
  3. I am in the same boat as you but I am trying to take up as little as possible so I can travel a bit(with luggage) in my Hyundai Genesis Coupe. You actually added a few ideas into my head as well. As for the XBL^2 subs; superb. I have a Brahma 15" MK 1 from way back and wow, flat and definitely takes getting used to but if your ultimate goal is mostly SQ it's a good way to go. I wouldn't dwindle on it too much, just go after what you 'feel' is best(that was recommended) or go after what you've heard sounds best. You won't go wrong with all the SQ suggestions you've gotten.
  4. You could try the new Stereo integrity BM's. Not sure how they sound but I had a Mag D2 one a few years back and it had some kick and good sound to it.
  5. I would pretty much agree with you on this even though I haven't been there in a long time. Most stores here blow you off if you don't want any of their "standard" services. They just want the big bucks and to rip people off.
  6. I wish I could get both but I'm trying to limit the amount of space I'm going to take up in my car(since I don't have much to begin with). But anyways, money sent!
  7. So now I am considering this as well now that it is up to a 10% discount . I will most likely send out the dough tonight if I decide on it.

  9. Very tempting but alas, I am about to get rid of the only SUV I have available('96 Isuzu Trooper). Just too expensive to maintain the thing.
  10. It's pretty common to see that around here. I've asked several dealers in LA and they pretty much said the same thing and kind of blew me off when I asked a quote for a fiberglass enclosure.
  11. I'd love to get my hands on one of those leviathans if they have the crossover capabilities
  12. Does this include home theater enclosures? I'm in Louisiana as well. I've been trying to find a good deal on an enclosure for my Brahma, but I'm willing to give another driver a try
  13. I have a Sharp Aquos LC-32GP2U I got from BB. Awesome picture; haven't tested it with my computer but you'll definitely want to get a 1080p tv if you are going to connect your computer up to it. I also have a Samsung 52" 650 series LCD. Sharp is excellent but samsung pq is nicer(especially for high def pictures).
  14. I have about 1825 watts(SAZ1500D,Orion 5004, and Eclipse 200 watt stereo Class D amp) and I use stinger hpm 4 gauge wire for the big 3. No big electrical issues here. Stinger, knukonceptz, RF, lotsa decent flexible brands out there that can do the trick.
  15. I'd be happy with a smaller size Zed 4 x 100 amp. The original Class D design was intriguing but I'd be happy as long as it isn't too big so it would fit my amp rack
  16. I'd try them if they are $59 like they say on the site but I have my Shures and Sennheiser Cans right now to satisfy my listening palette.
  17. oops, that would be a 15" version
  18. Hi everyone, It's been a while since I posted on here and I'm sure I've asked this question before in some incarnation of the site. But I'm looking for recommendations on a box(ported, sealed?) for an old Brahma Mk.1 I've got sitting around. THe smaller the better, as the spacee is a bit limited at my place. I would have loved to do a PR one but no budget to buy PRs. I've played with WinISD a bit and was looking at a 8 cube box tuned to 20hz but not sure if I want a box that big. I have a PE 500 watt plate amp coming in and am going to use it for half HT, half audio Thanks for you help in advance.
  19. SAE -1000D should run at or around that so I second that.
  20. Ok I don't usually like to ask these type of versus questions but I've narrowed my replacement amp (for my blown RE35.1D) to these last 3(I needed a 1500 watt amp that is <18" in length and these were the only few i could find): -RF BD1500-1, the new model -Sundown SAZ-1500D -USAmps md2d The Sundown is the largest and the hardest to put on my amp rack but it's also the cheapest and from all the opinions I've seen a very nice choice. The USAmps is tempting though the most expensive choice. The RF is just tiny nd woud make installs easier. However, I can only afford it if I purchase it on ebay which means it will have a crappy warranty. Any opinion, positive or negative is welcome. IF you can think of any amps that size then please add.
  21. I would have to agree with all so far. It's surprising how far one bad emotional reaction can go; definitely not a good reaction from the head of marketing. On the internet, it looks even worse since no one can actually see what feelings he really is trying to convey. With such a loyal and long-term group of enthusiasts, it will take a long time for those comments to dissipate from their memories. While he may push the company to get things done, it may be more prudent to consider separating or sharing the marketing tactics(especially online) to others. He really should have done his research online before posting anything. I have been out of the loop for a while, but comments like that leave a bad taste for someone just jumping back in. Anyways, good luck with your new endeavor. Just keep up the work, stick with making great products and keep up with your customer satisfaction and you should pull through.
  22. I don't have one right now, but I'll take one tonight. I bought the metra dash kit.
  23. Ty, that box is going to hold 2 RL-p 15"s. Since I only have one sub, after getting screwed with my last box transaction, maybe i can get mike to hook me up with another
  24. Not sure why my pix don't show up. They are photobucket links. As for Better Audio, they are unfortunately dead in the water right now; he is doing boxes though. He ran out of funding when he finally ironed out the problems with his suppliers. If he can find some new capital investors, he will start it back up.
  25. Well, after all the trouble to get this setup finished. I finally have gotten some thing put together and some in progress. My FG box is being put together by Bart Etter(owner of BetterAudio if you remember them), whom I'd like to thank for his hard work. Well here's some progression pics of the box build. He does a good job My speakers. THe Mpyres are installed in the doors currently. That's MpyreAudio, Adire Koda, and RE XXX in that order shown. My car ghetto rig til box comes in My Clarion DRZ9255 already installed Well, I'll update this as things progress.
