  1. Panasonic's are pretty damn vibe resistant and have decent preamps(at least stated): Panasonic CQ-C7413U http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=16841
  2. Yeah, a three way setup is an excellent idea and easier to set up than 4 pairs of speakers????
  3. Claimed the accident but the appointment for the appraisal isn't til next Friday (earliest available for the approved company). Well, I guess I won't be able to drive it for 2-3 weeks, quite a pain but i guess I'll have to deal with it. I saw the school doctor today, they prescribed me a pain killer for my neck, said it most likely isn't anything serious, just strained muscles. I hope the structural damage isn't too bad to take longer for repairs Tirefyr, but at least i will be guaranteed a rental. As for his car, it was a 98 4-door accord. Insurance company called today, missed the call so i will hit it up tommorrow, slacking on getting the pix.
  4. Thanks for the concernguys. I have talked to a few friends so far and they have all said it would probably be considered the honda accord's fault since they typically put the person who hit the other because they did not give enough space for the driver to turn, but i guess i will find out from the insurance company.
  5. Yeah I know what you mean but I would have to redo the leather and the sound deadening in it, which would be a pain.
  6. Yeah it is, The bumper needs to be replaced and the bumper frame rewelded. Right frond fender has a dent so it can be dinged out or replaced and I'm going to the school doctor tommorrow to check up on my neck that is pretty sore right now. I was lucky it wasn't worse with how hard he hit me.
  7. i'll post em up as soon as i get home, no camera with me at work. You should see that Accord. The engine looked messed up, fluids leaking, and the guy couldn't put it on neutral to move it to the side. On the good not, at least i don't have a system in the car that would have been ruined.
  8. Well, I got in a car accident today; it wasn't completely wrecked though. I got real lucky. There was a dead taxi in the middle of the interstate in a turn. I hit the brakes hard, swerved out of the way and got straight out rear-ended by an accord. Bumper now hangs off the bolts and a tiny dent from a nick on the taxi. I'll post some pix up if anyone's interested. Luckily , no one was seriously injured but i don't know who the insurance company will put at fault.
  9. I have two speakers to choose from for my mids in my install, the XXX and RE Koda, and I have the same tweet. I gotta finish my setup, but i'll let ya know what i think.
  10. I've heard an IDQ 12" ported at 28 hz. Yes they have excellent sq and can get decently loud. If it hadn't been stolen, I woulda kept it for the person i installed it for in his new car.
  11. ya i noticed there's also a model called "rl-x 8" Are those the correct specs for the current 8 out?
  12. Panasonic has made nice HU's for a while now. I used 2 different models for years with little to no probs(even though they don't give u a bunch of features for the price). But that's about all they have made that is nice.
  13. Ha! It is a nice price though, tempting but no use here...
  14. That would certainly save me a bundle, just thought that may have been a good deal on that; not sure what kind of difference it would make than any other surge protector other than supplying enough juice for all my equipment.
  15. Monster surge protector Is this worth the price or would i be overpaying for a overkill surge protector? What do you guys think?
  16. congratz Dave! It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!
  17. Don't mess with ppl like that He only announced that for those 2 amps which he was trying to get a pre-order for. I'm also looking into the tube amp market for my next amp.
  18. That sheet works here PT-800 says 80 amp.
  19. I've actually got a set of Kodas sitting and I'm gonna compare them (I have a set of Vifa XT's that can go to 1.5 khz) when matched up to my tweets and IB to see which one i like more.
  20. I've heard that they don't do well above 1.5 khz; so expect to use a tweet that goes down to that range and a crossover setting around there as well. I've got a set of XXX's myself waiting to be installed.
  21. you could use them purely for midbass. That's what I'm planning to do.
  22. "I am very brave"?
  23. You could play around with some of these vifas as well. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...r=264-555&DID=7
  24. Wow, very impressive setup. That's some insane power for home; wonder how long it'll take to make you deaf I would love a setup like that for home, but I'm neither technical nor talented enough to set it up (plus lack of time). Most of my setup(so far) has been bought and haven't finished center or rear channel speakers yet.
  25. Thanks guys! Been ok, mostly stayed the day on campus but went out to eat with friends last night to "work" on a take home final
