  1. I like that program. What is that? Nice and simple.
  2. Thats a good question. I would think it would be either 35 and 35 or 70 each. Im really not to sure though.
  3. Or you can max those dims out and get 3.94cu3 at 31.13hz. 33x17x21. More likely 30 something with dd.
  4. So your saying that in my cut sheets just change the port length #2 piece to 17". Does anything else need to change besides that and the volume? Yes. If you change the port length to 17" the volume will go down as well as the tuning. Thats all you do.
  5. Change that port length #2 to 17" and it will be about 3.69 at 31 flat. Accounting for the same as last.
  6. Ive got 3.82cu3 at a little over 33hz. This isnt accounting the driver disp though on the tuning aspects. Not sure how much the tuning will go down though.
  7. Thanks guys. I really appreciate all the comments. This is my first try but like I said, I like to take my time to produce a nice product. I dont want to whip out pods my first time within a day or two just to get them in my truck. But...I really didnt think they would be turning out like this. The sun is shining here for a moment so it seems like a good time to apply some resin. More updates to come soon.
  8. A few updates. I trimmed and sanded out both pieces before I got started on the imaging. That was a bitch. I spent over a day and a half just getting them where I wanted. Glueing them down, ripping em off. Over and over and over. Boy does that hot glue sure stick like a mofo! After I got through that the stretching of the fabric wasnt that bad. It took a few minutes to find a rhythm but I got it. I had to cut and overlap each pod cause of the wrinkles and the way it was applied. I dont think it will matter though. There is a few spots that dont mirror each other so well but this is my first time so its expected. Im not lookin for perfection here but I do like to take my time to get it right. The tweeters are slightly misaligned too but I dont think I'll notice that either. In all, Im happy the way these look so far. Next I will hit them with some more resin and let them cure for a good mold. Sand it down a little more and begin adding the top layer of mat. Should be fun. mli65 link
  9. A little update. Glassed the second layer on the pass door tonight and trimmed the driver panel also. Couldnt wait to get a dremmel cause I wanted to keep going! So I used the jigsaw. Came out nice. I think the overall wieght of these pods will be a little much. The driver panel is about 1/4" thick. Solid as shit though. Is that about right? Once the pass side has dried and is trimmed, I will prep both for the trim rings and stretching the fabric. mli65 link "I be ."
  10. Pretty much. But really, does it matter? +/- 30% variation in power isn't going to be audible. Nah, it really doesnt. As long as it puts out the rated power, then Im fine with it. Some people just want the numbers for numbers sake, I guess. Thats fine too. For me, the wattage means nothing if the sound doesnt justify it.
  11. Those people must be women! Lol.
  12. Install one and see how it sounds. I wanted two of the same speaker also. Im installing one in each door right now. I have them in a mock enclosure currently but they get real loud from the SAX100.4 and that is at half-gain. Have you ever heard the mli65s in person yet?
  13. Thats what my uncle said when caught by his wife with a pro. "Its only a $60 blowjob, honey. Its not like Im fuckin her." Classic.

  15. I love a shitton of wattage and loud ass music. I dont like to bump at stoplights or signs, unless provoked. Intentionally or not. Two of my finest examples. Harleys and ciggerettes. If I have to hear your harley or smell your ciggerettes, you will hear my system. Its that simple. Sorry, but Im an ass like that.
  16. summer, summer, summer time. So says DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince! I almost didnt catch that but thats probably not even what you were going after though.
  17. The 12volt.com is a great site for that info and other. That is where the diagram jay-cee put up is from.
  18. So basically, the average audiophile will never to be able to test an rms output accurately? Unless they have the hookup to some nice equipment?
  19. Sounds like a real keeper to do shit like that. You got lucky man. Most women hate car audio sooo much, it doesnt matter if its your utmost favorite hobby...they dont give a crap!
  20. Welcome dude. Far on near.
  21. The math looks right to me.
  22. The only reason I recommended that was because there isnt any refurb 1000s left. Unless you can find one used frm a member or something.
  23. X1k. I bought a few things, traded a few things, and had a whole lot of questions that Jacob handled very professionally. Not to mention top notch CS. That never falls short with me.
  24. This could be a good amp. sae1200D Just watch the gains and the volume. X2 on the big 3. Look at the site for all the spec info. It will tell you what you are asking.
