question about the front baffle - can we sink the subs into the 3 layers so they lie flush on the board or would we have to make a 4th layer?

Ya so not so much got done this weekend. I got most of the front leds wired while almost setting off the air bag by accident. I would post pictures but since it is not complete there is nothing really worth seeing as far as leds go. My Image Dynamics x69 came in as well as my cd1e horns. I forgot to take pics. This weekend coming up I plan on getting all of the leds wired, mounting the horns, and modifying my kick panels to fit the 6x9s. I know a lot dosent get accomplished during the weekend. This is because I still need to see my family, girlfriend, and cut the lawn (takes 3 hours to do because I make that shit look like a golf course). This only leaves me with saturday morning from 8 to 12. Then possibly some time sunday afternoons. Sad I know.

How bad is your hearing loss?
How are people able to hear above 20hZ when the frequency range of human hearing is 20-20khz?

Didn't really get too much done this weekend. Didn't have any time accept saturday morning. Got the layers glued and the new radio put in as well as the new backup camera since there won't be any visibility when the wall is in place.

Ported Diamond
I am just wondering how Shawn is going to design this considering I basically have an 03 explorer and 4 18s is a struggle of a fit. Your dimensions should be the exact same as mine.

electrical upgrade or not?
I do not know the alternator size on durangos but I am sure they have a decent sized one. I think you should be fine with upgrading the big 3. See how that goes. If you notice voltage drops let us know the beginning value before the drop and then the lowest voltage drop and how frequently it occurs. I ran a bxi2006 and a gto1004 in my car on stock electrical no problem. My voltage did not drop below 12.5 which is where the battery sits at.

what 2-15" on a saz3500d
If you want a good sounding sub that gets loud get the xcons. The bl fully loaded should get the job done. No need for the btl really. The bl is a little bit better spl and a little bit less sq than the xcons. I have heard great things about IA subs but have no experience with them or knowledge about them.

Shawn what do you recommend as far as leds go for underneath my dash(where your feet go) ? The guy told me piranah bars but I am a little scepticle.

O ya. You never gave us those measurements.

Components!
Another battery would be nice but it is really not needed for what he has. That 1000 watt sundown will only be drawing 50 amps max most of the time. The kicker has a 25 amp fuse rating so it will be drawing no more than 15 amps most of the time. Just get an alternator upgrade and see how that goes. A 150 amp will be more than enough and should not cost you that much.

Finally got some pictures. Did not get as much done as I thought this weekend but progress was made none the less. More to come next weekend. The Shop 10 Sheets of MDF A Bunch of Crap in the Back About Half the Cut Wood Cascading Pile of Sawdust Test Fit Test Fit 2 Running Strands Upon Strands of Ground Under the False Floor All Grounded Out Like I said there is more to come next weekend. It is hard to get work done when your car is home and you are at college. I brought my wiring harness up with me to connect everything lol.

Components!
Before you do anything you need to upgrade your electrical system. You think it is fine but your entire car is suffering due to voltage drops. You NEED a new alternator. There is no way around it. You car before you even put in an amp is probably drawing close to that amount. If you ignore this your car will surely suffer. Your amp is straining mightly along with your cars entire electrical system. If I were you I would buy a new alternator and the cheapest pair of replacement speakers for the time being.

Components!
Did you not just read what I typed? Buy the first idea I said. The extra 40 amps or w/e will do nothing to you. That is in your budget and will be louder. You need to set your filters as well so those speakers are playing like 80 hz and above. No low frequency bass should run through your mids.

Kenwood dnx6140 bypass
Would I use the rear parking sensor or backup light wire?

Components!
If my calculations are correct you want to spend around $250 USD. If you were to buy any of those speakers and run them off the h/u they would sound not only like ass but would most likely blow sooner than later. This would hold true to any speaker you run on your head unit. If you run off the high levels like you are doing the signal clips very early (usually around 3/4 volume and if loudness or equalizers are turned on a lot sooner). This clipped signal causes your speakers to sound like ass and break them. If you were to buy an amp this would eliminate this problem. You do not need those expensive speakers even though they are nice. These setups I am about to list to you not only cost the same but would sound A LOT better than if you were to run any speaker of head unit power. If you wanted to stay within your budget you could do something like this: http://www.woofersetc.com/p3949/ZX1502--Kicker-2-Ch-150-Watt-ZX-Series-Amplifier.htm http://www.woofersetc.com/p6952/RSD65cs--Phoenix-Gold-65"-Component-Speaker-System.htm Or if you wanted to spend a little more money you could do the same setup my friend is doing: http://www.woofersetc.com/p5207/CLS60A--CDT-Audio-Classic-65"-2Way-Component-Speakers.htm With the Sundown SAX120.2 If that amp is too much this one does work and puts out a little more than rated - http://www.woofersetc.com/p2432/16PR2002--Memphis-280-Watt-2-Channel-Power-Reference-Amplifier.htm

Kenwood dnx6140 bypass
My question has to do with the bypass. If I were to bypass by grounding the parking brake sensor will my rear view camera work? If so which wire am I supposed to splice on to under the dash? I do not need the color wire although that would be helpful but which wire am I supposed to be looking for?

Which provides more power linking or individual?
I think I am going to get dual 2 ohm that way I can run each at 1 ohm and they will be easier to sell when I want to get rid of them.

Which provides more power linking or individual?
4. I havent ordered them yet that is why I am wondering if I should go strapped or unstrapped.
