saz 3500 or 4500 for one 18 Btl
i dont think u realize how quickly that amp will drain your batteries ... u would need to charge your batteries after 5 mins of use because ur amps would continually shut off and will evenually go into thermal shutdown because of how low ur voltage will be dropping ... without the proper charging supply u risk damaging so many components now only in ur sound system but ur car as well ... your voltage WILL drop way below 12.5 with that amp if u do not have a new alt ... a new alt is only like $400 and is the most important upgrade to support that amp

Is this normal?
somehow my friends 2 single 4 ohm subs measured out to 6.3 ohms lol

SPL tricks- In progress from Shizzzons Build
very useful information ... i dont think there will be as much of a difference in current draw once you increase the volume further ... it could be different tho because facts state that there will actually be a greater percentage drawn from the square wave

(2) saz 3500D's or (1) saz 4500D
you need to upgrade your alternator and get at least 2 d3100s first and then think about which amps to buy ... id go 2 of the saz-3000d strapped but if you dont know what you are doing then stick with the 4500 ... you can run a lot of power to those subs but not daily ... if you are using it for a daily driver then just a 4500 will do ... it will put out close to 5k at 1 ohm n e way ... in order to get 5k you need to upgrade your electrical system or everything has the potential to be damaged including your car

speakers

missing link voltage module?
Theres a guy on the J-body forum who speaks pretty highly of them. Hes had good luck with them and talked me into getting one when I have the money. thanks. when u get it tell me how it works ... r u running a h/o alt? if so by whom? ... will it overheat if it is producting 15.6v or w/e it is?

speakers
u can always put the tweets on the dash ... they would blend good as well because ur glass is reflective ... do u have speakers on the dash already? what frequency range do u plan on playing the dash speakers at and the door speakers at ... no need to put speakers in the rear unless u r in the back a lot

Is the bp power option needed?
yes they did smell whenever i used them not just when i blasted it, they smelt all the time. and i did get a bl with cooling option now just need an amp is the sub a d1 or d2? the pioneers were d4's wired down to 1 ohm, the bl is a d2 Wire the BL in parallel to drop it to 1 ohms, and get a 1 ohm stable amp. thats what i am planning on doing but im not sure what amp would be better to push it, an audioque 1200d or the saz 1000d. I would buy the saz 1500d but im trying to save some money and stick with the 4 gauge power and ground i have installed and the stock alt. Sundown SAZ-1000D and call it a day. x2 ... u would have been fine w.o. bp but u might as well get it because it isnt that much and ur sub will thank u

Is the bp power option needed?
I honestly dont think they can take no more than 800 rms personally especially with that hard plastic cone, I had a pair on a 2000rms amp also but never came close to blowing them. But anytime I was playing full tilt (where my settings were at before clipping, each sub seeing 750-800rms) or close to it, I could hear the plastic cone thumping and the sub bottoming out plus it would play any louder after a certain volume. I noticed that alot about subs that have a plastic cone, they distort more when you get close or to their rms potential. just my experience with them ya i play mine full blast all the time so that is why i guess

i was just wondering how those premiers handle the power? i have blown 4 of them on my old hifonics amp ... the hifonics put out rated power of 2k rms ...i had them 2 at a time ... do yours smell as well when they are played? yes ik it sounds like it is an error on my part but it is not for those of you about to type it ...

BL sound quality?
damn man take it easy. i'm not the most savvy with car audio and this is the first time i've ever been on a forum. i just did it because FI doesn't display a phone number [even though i actually got one don't ask me how]. now i just had a question about these two speakers because i am on a ledge between the two. everyone keeps saying BLs and to be honest, that's what i was leaning towards in the first place. again, i'm not sure why i pissed you off so much, but i'm not really that knowledgeable when it comes to all this. so sorry for mentioning the term SQ, but i'm not entirely sure of what i'm talking about and i'm trying to get as close as i can so all you tech savvy guys out there can help point me in the right direction. Don't worry about Sean, you'd be surprised how many threads similar to this that pop up every day, it get's old. x2

which 18" subs would you choose?
i am pretty sure everyhting is fine ... i just need more batteries ... i was running my amp today pretty hard on rap and it was fine ... the techno takes more out of it believe it or not cuz it hits every second

Something wrong
it sounds like you have a short or a loose connection somewhere ...try swapping the h/u first with a differnent 1 ... if it does the same thing try running a wire from your battery to your amp's turn on to see if it cuts out (make sure to disconnect the existing turn on wire from ur radio and ur amp) ... if it dosent then the turn on wire is shorting out somewhere ... if problem persists it might be your rcas if you are running an amp for your speakers ... try using a differennt set of rcas
