Ya. You only need one set of components. Whether it be one set in the back and one set in the front or 2 sets in the front. Just scrap the rears because they don't do anything and/or scrap your second set up front. They don't make the music louder either.

There's no such thing as a "sound quality" amplifier. THD is a pretty unimportant spec to look at. Any amp worth owning (meaning anything but extreme low end junk) will be capable of operating at a level of distortion that is inaudible with music. Most amps on the market have their power rated at a THD level of equal to or less than 1%, which means there will not be an audible difference between them distortion wise. Many people mistakenly believe that THD is a "lower sounds better" spec, but the truth is that once distortion gets down to a certain level (2% or less) you won't be able to hear a difference with music. So you can ignore it. Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) is the same way. Any amp worth owning will have a sufficient enough SNR to be audibly indistinguishable. SNR can only even be used as a point of comparison if you know the testing conditions of the measurement. If one amp had SNR rated at 1w of power output, and another amp rated at 100w of power output, then the "rated" SNR of the amplifiers are NOT directly comparable. But regardless, it's a relatively unimportant spec and can generally be ignored. Damping Factor is another spec that can be ignored. Many people incorrectly believe that DF is a "higher is better" spec. The truth however is that once an amplifier has sufficient damping as to not audibly affect the sound, going any higher will not yield any benefit. A damping factor of around 20 is sufficient enough to not cause an audible difference. Just about any amp on the market will have sufficient damping as to not audibly affect the sound. You can not attribute any particular sound characteristics to the "class" of the amplifier, and no one has ever been able to conclusively demonstrate that the "class" of the amplifier affects the sound. What should you look for in an amplifier? Look for an amp that offers the most power output within your budget, has the features you need, the build quality you desire, aesthetics you prefer, fits your space requirements and has a warranty & customer service you can live with. It's that simple. Couldnt of been said any better. x2 - A well built amplifier is all you need. There is no audible difference when it comes to high quality amps. Spend the extra money you will save yourself on a nice set of speakers and deadening material.

No lol. His amp cuts out at all volumes randomly. We are trying to figure out where this short is. It's hard because it is randomly occuring. I have a feeling that there is a short in the speaker wires. We need to disconnect one channel from the output of the amp and test to see which it is. If both then I do not know what to say.

Pretty sure this guys mounted his amps in his tool chest if you look at where the wires on the subs are going.

Terrible recommendation. I had 2 sets of the xxx's and all I can say is that they did not get loud at all for the power that was put to them. Very inefficient. They did sound half way decent.

I saw that just thought it was one for the other enclosure somewhere behind that sliding glass rear window. Is that a plastic bag on his front drivers window(saw that earlier also)? You know that's a plastic bag in the front window! I'm assuming that the decibel levels achieved with such an enclosure shattered the window.

Im surprised nobody have pointed out how one sub "enclosure" has 2 random pieces of wood nailed to it while the other has only 1 random piece.

Josh and I were driving down the road today and we witnessed this marvelous masterpiece. I have never seen such a unique enclosure before. I could tell a lot of craftsmanship and knowledge went into this build. Take a look. As you can tell this guy thinks his subs and electrical is waterproof ...

You should be fine as 4v is measured in peak. I would take a dmm to the rca itself (inside is positive and shielding is negative) on a 0db test tone of your choice, crank up the volume and see what you get as far as a reading goes. If it is over 2.5 then I would call the company up and see what they say because that number seems awfully low for input sensitivity.

I would recommend going with 2 of the 1000s strapped though. That should put out 2250-2500 watts which is perfect for that NS. 3kw+ on daily is too much.

Buy 2 of the sundown 1500s and strap them together. This will give you over 3000 watts at 2 ohm.

You might want to have a fruit platter to start off with. Crepes stuffed with strawberrys and a cream cheese/whipped cream blend, topped with some strawberry sauce. You might also want to consider doing scrambled eggs with fried chopped panchetta incorperated inside the eggs with some sort of sharp cheese melted with the eggs. I guess it really depends a lot on your family too. What is your ethnicity?

By resistance do you mean impedance? If so, how are you measuring the impedance at that frequency? Outside of chasing tenths there is absolutely no need to measure power anyways. Just set your gains with the scope at a non-clipping point and play away. If you are trying to eek every last drop out of a setup, different story but for something that will never see a competition it is a joke as you ear really can't tell the difference. I am saying just tune the amp without any output load on it. This will give you where the amplifier clips. Then you can square the output voltage and divide by the impedance of preference. Say you wanted what it puts out at 1 ohm, couldnt you just divide the squared output voltage by 1?
