  1. I had 2 10"s of those. They were in a sealed box. They lasted two years. The sound was good, hit the lows pretty good and loud, just not real accurate it seemed. I liked them, but after getting a Fi sub, I will never go back to mainstream speakers.
  2. I have a 05 Mercury Mariner and just got my 15 BL in with 1000 watt amp on the sub. I have no dimming after the big 3 and a 1000 amp battery in the front. It is incredibly loud and sounds good from country to rock to rap to bass cds.
  3. I used 8 AWG with my BL and 1000 watts.
  4. I am very pleased with my Fi BL. It is built so much better than anything that I've owned before.
  5. My 15 BL is fully loaded and I couldn't be more happier with it. It gets very loud with 1000 watts. It hits very tight bass on rock and will hit lows in bass cds with authority as well. My front door panels move quite some distance on the bass cds.
  6. I finally got my box painted and put in the truck. This is my first FI product as I did a lot of online reading before settling on a BL. I've had Kicker 12 L7s, Pioneer SPL 10s and old school Kickers. This BL by far is the loudest sub I've had and it hits the lows very well and still has very good musical abilities. I am very impressed with it so far. I set the amp with a DMM and did the big 3 in 1/0. I had dimming before with just the mid/high amp (zr240 on the Focal polyglass 6.5 comps). No dimming now at all. I tuned the box to approximately 33 Hz. It is right at 4 cubes and its the first time I've done anything with fiberglass. It has 5 yards of mat and 2 gallons of resin and 2 more of rage gold. Painted with hot hues DuPont paint and 4 coats of clear. Its in a 2005 Mercury Mariner. I still have to come up with a better amp rack, but here are some pics. Thanks for all the information that I've learned on here to make this happen. I recommend FI to anyone now. The box still rough Test fit Primer The box bolted in place The sub bolted in

What kind of battery do you recommend? And does the one under the hood need upgrading too? If so what kind there?

I ordered a BL15 today with all the options and a green dust cap. I'm going to order 1/0 wire as mine are 4 gauge right now. I have a ZX1000.1 for the sub. I have a guy that's going to help with building a custom fiberglass ported box. I have a '05 Mercury Mariner. Other than the bigger power/ground wire to 1/0 should I add a battery in the back? The other amp for the front Focal components is a ZR240.
  12. I have a Kicker ZX1000.1 that says 1275 watts at 2 ohms. I had 2 Pioneer SPL subs that fried on this amp. I'm pretty sure the subs were damaged when my Kicker DX700 blew. So the new amp would cut out at higher volumes. I measured the ohm load and it would read 1.2-1.4 ohms. I am looking at switching to a Fi 15BL sub in a vented box around 4 cubic feet at 33Hz. Should I get the 1 ohm DVC and wire it in series? I noticed that on the Fi website the value of Re at 1.4 ohms...I've never seen this value and just don't want to get a sub that will cut out not having enough resistance for that amp. Any suggestions?
