  1. ah sorry, i dont use this forum other then the sundown section so i really haven't explored over here. lol sorry, also, when i calculate this to paper to draw it up and get my cut outs, the port doesn't match up, i measure down the middle of the port. and it seems that it just wont work, i dont know what im doing wrong. i measure down the middle, and subtract out of the total box height the .75 from the bottom sheet, and 7.5" from the port inside, that leaves me with the first cut at 20.75", so i need a total port length of 24.5", so i measure down 3.75" and over 3.75" plus .75" for the piece of wood for the port, and that gives me 29, so that means its longer then the port i need. ( when i say i measure the port i measure the middle of the port (the blue line) this is a quick picture i drew up in paint, (red is port, blue line is what i measure)

so ill give you some info first truck - 99 s10 ext cab (no 3rd dr) 2 15" sundown nightshades 1 saz-3500D blah blah blah anyways, the box i orig. built for them isnt cutting it, so now im thinking 3/4 wall (i still want to be able to see out my rear view mirror) so can anyone help me with a desgin? im looking to tune to 35 hz, subs forward port... not sure where to fire it 43" long, 15" or less deep, 26-28 inches tall, 26 would be more ideal. this is for daily! not spl, i want it to slam the low notes, but sound good on every thing else. let me know what you guys think. thanks!
  10. well my next desgin with have interchangeable ports 1 at 30hz 1 at 35 hz and 1 in the 40's, so i can play all and see what i like best, im more of a 30-32 hz guy, and ken you need to drive down my way so i can hear yours!! also i will be adding a 2nd 15" nightshade to that desgin. for sure man! where abouts do you live? ken, its gary from msn lol
  11. That's a terrible description of what you want. Daily -- could you be more subjective? What do you think an SQ head runs "daily". Ground Pounder -- are you trying to be a social menace? heard 35hz is better -- for what? better again is subjective. If you frickin' want output just say so and describe what the hell you listen to. All the responses so far really aren't answers to your question. 32Hz tuning isn't exactly optimized for output, lol. Daily -- as in im not looking to compete and yes i heard tuning nighshades were better tuned at 35 then anything lower, as it still hits all the lows? never tuned that high so i dont know, it was a question! i listen to the odd C&S song, and a lot of low hitting songs. but also listen to some reg rap/hip hop. but i love more low lows hence why i said ground pounder....
  12. well my next desgin with have interchangeable ports 1 at 30hz 1 at 35 hz and 1 in the 40's, so i can play all and see what i like best, im more of a 30-32 hz guy, and ken you need to drive down my way so i can hear yours!! also i will be adding a 2nd 15" nightshade to that desgin.
  13. just curious as to what everyone else is tuning at for daily. right now i have a single 15 Nightshade at 32 hz, but i heard that 35hz was better? im looking more ground pounder style then ###'s on a meter. so what is everyone running and tuning wise?
  14. oops, i cut it 14 1/8 / 14 1/4 (jigsaw so its not perfect) think it will still be ok??? :S
  15. alright thanks jacob hey jacob, what is the cutout size for the nightshade 15??
  16. alright thanks jacob
  17. alright, i want this to hit low and loud. so 3-3.5 is best for that? thanks ok so how does this sound.. net air space 3.39ft3. port area 50.75 in2. @31.81hz
