yeah, actually i am. wasn't but, yeah, why not? i can always use a little extra knowledge. i am always trying to learn some about it. i have spent that amount of cash on dinner before. the cert. may open a door somewhere for me, if not, it will proove to be just as useless as the three i have on the wall already, lol i think it would be cool. i plan on reading into some more, but if it goes along the lines of, study, test, done, sure, why not? uh, to op, you are so right, i have learned alot and seen alot from just hanging out. there is alot of guys that will school you on it, because it is a hobby. i can see hateing it. working on a dead end install, meaning one that will be trashed way too soon. but yet, i have seen shops that have that certain feel to them, ones that make me wanna try it sometimes. currently i am doing nothing, so i might as well apply myself to something.( grabing up that cert.)

i have seen some do well and some sink.... it has alot of factors in it. location? market> are two important ones off the top, how much income would you need to justify the effort? I like the idea of starting off small, see how it goes, hell, perhaps even rent out a garage with a install bay for a 6 month lease? not being a smart ass, but google search for schools in your area. there are some schools out there and it looks like they would be cool as hell to attend. I like the idea of getting some degrees that have many avenues also. also keep in mind, you might have a unique approach that might take your ass right to the top. look at that cat that runs unique auto sports, will castro, hell he started out detailing cars, how many shops are out there that does that? what was the true expectations of that shop opening up, millions, i bet not, it was all his approach. and if your ass does well, remember ol' chop encouraged you! lol. chop

i was surfing around another sight and seen a post of a fellar wanting to check his design on a port. he was told a length by the guy , and drafted the port out accordingly. the port he presented is the exacrt length he was told. i was just thrown off by this because it is a slot port, and i thought that the end correction should of been factored in. i was told it wasn't. so does the end correction not always factor into a port design? the port folded so it was so it was not on the exterior wall, but ended inside the box along the adjacent port wall. thanks for the help. just wanting to ensure i am equiped with the right info. chop edit.... the length given was to be 26.65"

i am assuming you were refering to how much is too much on daily drivers. so i voted 5k+ i personally am constently broke! saying that to say, the electrical upgrades required to push those amps are exspensive... i currently run a SAZ1500D , it does quite well for me. i do need a new / bigger battery for the truck, but it is not just a audio issue, that battery in there just plain out sucks! i would like to have like a hkc 600 or the likes to back it with, but still not that big of a cost. i think it is all goal related to an extent, it is cool to see the huge setups, but at my level, not needed. and for the sake of all the jr's out there, i have been around a little while and have no idea why we are jumping over sharks, lol i think sharks are scarey and should not be in your car regardless of how much power you are running, lmao

for my personal experiance, i tuned to 35 hz. the first big box i built. it seems to lack something on the real low notes. i thought it meant that i needed to tune it alot lower. i have heard other set ups, also tuned to 35hz. that drop the lows alot nicer. i beleive it is a combo of my design and a loading issue. when i say the lows, me personally, i mean like 22-25hz. everything begins to vibrate and flex.... but you kinda got to figure out what your music plays at, and for loud, well 20 hz. and loud, you will not achieve too well.... .02 i mean, like i think loud is 145 db. plus, when someone says loud, i don't think your current gear will do 20hz. at 145db...... .02 if you like rap, i do, then loud is mid 30's to mid 40's.... and around 145 db.'s plus..... now, if this is what you are after, loose that seat.... go big, and port the enclosure.... you could definetly enjoy the two 18"s in a sealed box..... but imo, the ported box will be able to get alot louder. them Q's will handle the low notes with ease, keep a eye on the gain though. 28hz. tunning seems a lttle low to me, but i am a noob on it still. i want to tune my current box lower by adding a external port extension, when i do, it will drop it to 27hz. so i will be alot lower, i will let you know how that does for me in a few weeks. last thing, shouldn't fuck with five, he is on his game, just quite often in a cocky manner. the dude means well, i have had fall outs with him too, but in his defense, he still takes time to help me when i ask. i think sometimes, well alot of times, he knows the out come and answer, just that he encourages one to look further for the info....... in his own way. i hate saying that the prick is right, but i find myself saying it quite often, lol no offense meant ^ just saying my .02 chop

i like where you are going with this. nice looking ride, and the price is right! the four 12's should sound great. i would chat with shizzzon on about the wall for a sec though. if it the look you are after, then cool, i am into walled out cars, but it does not provide much room for the bass to mature, unload. you might find some other designs that would provide a little more sound without adding a crap load of power. just my .02, lol chop

so, like , it has been a while for me too, so i just drive south for two hours and have shizzzon's four DC's gangbang my ears, then i am good for a couple of weeks till my holes heal up, lmao! excited for you to be able to finish, " dam you, drill" , lol. read , read read, clickity click, they are quite bad ass. there is a shit ton of info and vids on them. the little baby 187's are pretty tough.... have had some hands on with them. the dp's can do spl easy enough. chop

Yes, there will be a budget 250w, low Fs 1000w driver, and a 1700-2000w daily driver/ground pounder, and the other two are secrets for now uh, i am guilty of missing crap alot of the time, so if i am misdirected here, please help me out. first pic shows the bit for his predrill, second pic shows the bit for his countersink, not sure why he did not point this out to you, but it works when you do not have a predrill countersink on hand. alot slower but it works. make sure on your countersink bit you do not go too deep or get too relaxed, you will sounter sink a half inch depth quite easy.... looking good on the build. keep them coming chop

yup, thats right, since i was 11 years old, and we are getting ready to celebrate our 17 wedding anniversary on Feb. 14th. , Valentines Day! you bet your sweet ass i will be celebrating that i still am with the love of my life! chop

by the time we got her dressed and to the er, she was in bad, bad shape, already being early afternoon, she had already consumed two more doses of this crap. thinking that it would kick in soon! we attempted to get her registered, they took her blood pressure and pulse, but could not take her temp, cause she ralphed all over the place when they tried. her bllod pressure had dropped to 72 over 38.... way low! and her heart rate was 159..... super high! they called into the back that they had a patient that was tacky and rushed into the back. "tacky" > e.r. lingo for heart attack !!! i was super nervous, i have been in the e.r. a few times my dam self, pretty well messed up. i have never seen them doctors kick it into over drive like that before!!! i just knew something was bad, only to here them say, " she is going to go quick" ! that was enough to scare the shit out of me...... i did what any man would do...... i went to the bath room like a little scared bitch and called my mommmy, crying and balling my eyes out, regina is all i have!!! so she calmes me down quickly and i head right back out he door and look into the room.....EMPTY !!! they had rushed her to the critical care area where all the big monitors were and more room for all the doctors that were looking at her. i found her and could hardly get into the room, there was five doctors and a crap load of nurses n there. they took a ton of blod out of her and sent it off..... hooked up iv's and a bunch of heart machines, cramed these big needles into her gut and ass cheek. crazy scary fellas, let me tell you. so after a short while they let me know, indeed, there was no way this was scarlet fever, it was a allergic reaction to something, and quickly identified that it was the "cillin" she had been taking. she stayed in intensive care untill this afternoon, the fever is gone, only spots of her skin are still burnt from the rash and fever, yes burnt! like as in discolored and blistered.! because the medicine was acting like a poison, it was in her blood, and in her guts, her mouth, esophougus , and intestines have sores from it..... her blood is low on b12 and iron, so she is anemic quite bad now from it all. she is on meds for all of this, seven prescriptions total. we are at home now, she is glad to be in her bed and wishes she could eat regular foods, it has to be soft stuff,a chicken nugget could kick her ass right now. the stress her heart was under, changed her blood pressure, so the medicne that she was on for that is now canceled. so at least the dizzy spells are gone for good. the wierd part of this is, i have been allergic to penicillin and all of it's by products all my life. now Regina is too. we have been together since i was 11 years old, perhaps i am rubbing off on her.
