2009 WMD215R D1 T/S parameters in series : FS 25 hz Qms 4.3 Vas 3.7 cft mms 368 g re 2 ohms Qes .52 SPL 87 db SPL 1w/1m pdia 330.2 mm Qts .46 Le 1.2 BL 15 i find this and in another spot he says the fs is 24 hz and then i found this int he post also; Xmax is around .75" and Xmech is 1.5"(FYI both parameters are 1 way) So 3" total throw. still looking for like the box/port info

okay, i guess i am not hip how to determine what volume and port frequency this sub needs......gonna re-look for it , but i am not seeing it.

um, it's one of those deals where, when i got cash, nothing is up for grabs....and when i am broke...watch out....guys are selling the entire car for like some random a** cheap price====like $8 or some crap i like the BTL''s....uh i like the DC's, see them every once in a while.... i got to admit that the bigger than normal magnet is part of the atraction.. but this is not the last install for me.... i sent the money out today..... i will keep you posted on how it all comes along...maybe a build log this late fall?

okay, i am going to have the money sent out for it tomorrow..... i have the subs t/s info, is there a method to knowing what enclosure specs it would like? i am guessing i need like a program or something..... i would like to learn how you guys come up with the specs.... but if you have info toward the enclosure requirments , i am all ears......... hey ///M5! it is cool that you are sagacious, it helps us allout around here.

The second. You can ask LB who is the only one that I've seen post around the web on sites I visit that use that sub, but instead of real answers you'll get inflated info and pics of overalls. His information will be dubious at best and IMO should be ignored. okay, first off it is like alot of things, who applies it and how, results in different levels of satisfaction......... i have seen it used quite a bit as a ornamental application, as a alternitive to carpet or other finishes. so it has that industrial look sort of. in your post you asked about it as a sound deadner, so i am assuming you are refering to useing it on body panels to reduce or eliminate flexing. i was at the fairground over the summer and a bedliner company had a alumunim soda pop can with about an 1/8th" layer of their bed liner on it, as they seen you pick it up, you was encouraged to crush it, bend it , squeeze it, whatever, so i tried. no results, i mean no budging it. so as they laughed at my zero results, i grinned back at them and then *WHAM* i slammed the sh*t of it on the side of there table, ftl, i failed ,hardly even what i would call a indentation resulted, so i say this to say if you are wanting to reduce or stop flexing, and quit the roadnoise down, yeah it can work great. to use it on the inside of a box, no, not smooth, no good, to use it outside the box, looks badass and under the right blow-through install, would add weather proofing....if you plan on buying rattle cans, use it only for impossible to reach places for touch up, if you are going to roll on, do all your prep work and work them layers. if you want to spray it, once again, lots of prep work and multiple layers. ...... uh the guy we talked to said he would do the trunk of the 77 cougar for $400 bucks, just as tough as the can, color matching the car(red), that is with us gutting everything out and cleaning it as good as possible, if no color, just black, price would drop quite a bit.... food for thought if you do want a certain color, talk to them and have your name on a list, when they have a red truck bed come up, show up and get trunk done while red is still in the gun. oh, my bad experiance would be the rattle cans, not much use for what i wanted to acheive. only added some texture to say the most.

man, i am not sure how long i want this truck, shizzzon, i want to build a wagon pretty bad, but i think for a while this sub / amp combo would be sweet, i mean i know i want to do something neat with the enclosure.... was thinking of sub up(inverted) port to the side with external aeros into like a loading chamber, but not real good with all of this yet..... will build something that increases it's output. so the alt i would want would be that at idle though, right? any suggestions on make, i am looking for budget on any thing i got going, i am willing to save, but i dont want to go over the top yet either. thanks Chop.

okay fellars, i got a SAZ 3000D and i am going to be getting a WMD2R 15", it is a dual 1ohm sub, it does 1500 rms. with ease from what i understand, i am thinking that i will run the amp at 2ohms. so it will be an easy relationship on both, i know i could wire to .5 ohm and the sub will take alot more wattage......but i figure this will be plenty. so my question is, with a 2 ohm load, what type of amprage should i have avaiable for my amp, like what size alt and battery combo,,,, i got the welding cable and plenty of it, so i got that part going on. thanks Chop.

looks as if you have quite the build, do you have any build logs or pics? kinda the style cars we work on alot but you defietly have upgraded equipment.

i think the one i used came from PA, but it did make a differance, i can see someone clipping with something like this if they was careless, but when i do get another one, i will try a new brand, maybe that bass cube, it is by PG.
