  2. this is the first build on the Dakota...... i will start a new one next week or so..... learned quite a bit on doing the build, so it was a good experiance. Dakota build #1
  3. Here is one i started on with a neighbor, then he sorta disappeared. it was fun though Caprice 3 X 12"s in trunk
  4. not sure what to say...... the added power will be intense! chop
  5. i gotta post this one up for steve, rattlebox317, he seems to have gotten a case of the DA and forgotten his password to his account, as well as to his e-mail, lol, wow, really steve? ha ha rattlebox317's build log
  6. Some of us have build logs that are easier to link to..... or perhaps a few "favorite" shots from a build..... start a new log on here or post a old one...... maybe a few pics of one you helped on or done for a friend.... if they are already on the SSA pages somewhere, that is cool, still let's combine them in here as well.... one big area for them all to shine in! Chop
  7. funny you say that, according to my sig and recent memeory, i too thought there indeed was more than 3....... i believe, (while i am finding excuses), that there seems to be a plataue on members builds..... this is not what this is for, ( as a reminder) , it is for us all to say hello and what we have done thus far, as well as, what is up next. i will do a little persuading.... chop
  8. ha ha, lol.... this cat comes out of the wood work to comment on the Honda, lol we were cruising the strip one night and he was having me take pics of any hondas on the strip and send them to him since he could not be there. he might be a little shady, lol chop
  9. wow, every time i tell myself that my next install will be a slow, well thought out, build, i get anxouis and cut corners. it really helps me keep my mind open to what the end result will be when i see installs like this. it shows that you are looking at every inch of the car..... i can only imagine how big of a differance it will be. very good work here. gives me inspiration, which is what a good build log should do. chop now, get to work!!!! lol
  10. Sorry Porkchop. Didnt mean to interupt your build log. My bad. nah bro, you got me all wrong, i was just lost on the Half Baked trivia, been too long since i seen that one.... it's all good with me! chop
  11. on the inside of the enclosure, how close is the port mouth to the wall? how close is the sub to the port mouth? do you currently hve flared ends on the pvc? have you used this calculator before? have you used these? chop
  12. i believe if you go out and buy the Glad brand, tape it up and see how it works for you. they sale it just about everywhere, like three ply too! lol, really, since you asked for an a opion, you are chaseing a dead end here. looks like you got the extra cash, so try it out, but i would assume you will be tearing it back off. just curious, why so much privacy needed and what gives on not being concerned with the man pulling you over? is the car strictly a trailer queen? not on public road much? sorry if any of this comes across overly negative..... just feel like there should be a word of caution thrown out there. i have drove 5% tint at night before...... it is not all that cool to be blinded by sub-dark windows. just my friendly .02 chop
  13. Its all vehicle specific. I use chuck taylors, duct tape, and baby blanket. Trust me bro, Ive made debeez with less! The only thing you are missing is the big smile on your face with the new equipment! Nice score. 56lbs. pushing into his boney ass legs, lol, he just wanted me to hurry up and take the pic. smiles can be later..... after it is installed.
  14. lol, yeah, every once in a while we can pull off a "croc trick" lol Carter always has stuff in the car, sometimes it looks like a sports themed, day care locker, lol
  15. The sub came in today, just like it was suppose to. there was two pieces of plywood protecting it. one on the bottom with foam protecting it from the motor. the other bolted to the basket. the top piece of plywood had sturdy high compressin styrofoam in all four corners, protecting the surround. the shipping weight end up being 56lbs. even, quite hefty for a 12" subwoofer.
  16. We are starting to get everything in for the new build to go into steve's 2001 Alero. we are going to ..... *finish the big three upgrade. *add a second battery in the rear. *build a new enclosure for the trunk, port and sub firing to the rear. *installing a 12" WMD2 subwoofer. *installing a AP1800D *removing rear fill, adding amp to front stage. *perhaps clean the junk out of the car in general, perhaps. this is what the old install looks like. small vid .....
  17. wow...... you just crushed the hearts of soooo many tree huggers, lol this inspires me to start collecting 2x4's lol looking strong for sure! chop
  18. thanks.....
  19. this is the one mdizzle created and drew up..... i could not find the original, this one has lines added to it from paint.... but it is all there just the same. it is the intials , IAK, stacked on each other....
  20. these are the ones Sander made.....
  21. so we need to work on our logo's. * for the front page of SSA under the team section. * For our window stickers and banners.... * for shirts and hats... looking for any suggestions as well as links to learn how to create them. curently several of ours were done by Sander. We liked them quite a bit. this is one i am playing with. it is a blueprint style..... i think i will change the IAK to all white and see how it looks then.... this is the same one, but in a cartoon style...
  22. would like to get a logo like this worked into a shirt or sticker print soon, also need to get our team logo ready for the team section. pm sent.
