lol yea i hate those 4 gauge terminals...lol stuffing 0/1 gauge in it is a pain in the ass plus its probably not very safe...i like the 1200d bc its rated at 12.4 volts which is a plus...i think im gonna do it, as long as i can sell my amp soon. when do the 1200s come out?

try briefly turning up ur gain a bit to see if u pick up the lows better. i had the same problem when i set my gains...i set with dmm and didnt pick up the lows so i just set it by ear.

6.3 cubes after port and sub displacement tuned to 26.5 hz.

i got the new box done and im pretty sure its perfect...it sounds amazing. i think that if i want more, i will have to upgrade to a better sub

get a 15" fi q. put it in a box that fi recommends. push it with something around 1000 rms...u will b very happy.

do u think i would b better off going with like an xcon or something like it?

right around 25 hz. i like it to b loud around there. i listen to alot of chopped and screwed, and most of that stuff gets low low. and my setup right now gets it ok but i would like for it to just b a little louder that low.

o i thought they were much higher than that. im gonna look into that. thanx man.

i would love an xcon but i would have a hard time powering it...im a little low on cash, lol no job and everything...so i wouldnt b able to get enough power to it, without having to buy another amp. i was thinking maybe a bl tho...idk.

im not sure how to be more specific about lows...do u want like frequencies? bc i dont know what they are. and what do u mean by finding out how my subwoofer maps out?

idk what im really looking for lol, i just want my lows to be louder, they are already loud, but i was just kinda wondering if i can get more from them with a bigger box. and im not running all 1600 watts to it, i have it turned down to 1300

lol i dont really wanna waste 50 bucks on wood and 10 bucks on screws and glue if its not gonna make any difference.

the only problem u will have with running the nightshades is using the bare minimum box size. i believe they call for 3-3.5 cubes per sub before port and sub displacement and u only have about 7 cubes to work with before sub and port displacement and that is going above the top of the back seats. i would go with the bl's or drop down to 12's, that way u can build a decent sized box.

hey guys, i have a 18" fi q with bp power. im running it off of a 1600 rms hifonics amp. i have it in the back of a focus hatchback in a 6.3 cubic foot box tuned to 28 hz after displacement. my question is, if i take my backseat out i can build a bigger box. i dont use my backseat much so idc about that lol but say i built a 8 cubic foot box and tuned it the same, would there be any difference? if so what would the difference be besides no backseat?

well...i built one today lol, just got it done and its all dried and put it in, and WHOA!!! it just takes the lows and murders them. chopped and screwed songs are insane. im gonna have to take my backseat out and make a bigger box lol. i got a focus hatchback and im gonna take the seat out when i get enough money to get more mdf. ill post pics. where can i get 1" mdf. does anybody know?

unless you get rid of the backseat.
