  2. thebiggmann12 replied to lilredfocus's topic in US AMPS
im guessing it was an install failure, alot of people like those subs.
  3. stick with around 32 to 35. that sub is a low end monster...make sure u have a good enough electrical system to support that amp.
  4. 140 on my kawasaki ninja 600r
  5. do u have a voltage meter? also, u should def get 0 gauge wiring for ur amp. that will help u out big time. ur probably sending the amp into a clip. do ur headlights dim?
  6. do 2 8"s that way u have enough space to go ported.
  7. the q is not an ""SQL"" subwoofer, it is a sq subwoofer. it was not at all intended to get loud. to the o.p. get the bl, tune low and build a good box inside fi's recommendations
  8. get the bl, tune low, and put it in a box in fi's recommendations...more towards the higher end of their recommendation. u will love it.
  9. i just went to fedex.com and went through step by step.
  10. i'd be willing to pop down there sometime to throw it in the focus if u have a term lab.
  11. it might not be the weight, ur right, but i am getting about 4 more mpg, i think it might be because there isn't nearly as much draw of power (alternator kicking on) so either way im going to be getting lower mpg, my main reason for asking about going to a 15 was because of the backseat, while i dont mind not having the backseat i was just wondering if it was necessary if im not going to be able to hear the difference between a 15 and an 18. im just going to go with the 18. thanx for all ur help.
  12. 5mpg, no way. You aren't going to gain hardly anything, but a loss of output. Either way it is your choice, but you get to pick the compromise. ur right, it was only four miles per gallon...do u think the output loss would be noticable?
  13. way out of line.
  14. still great prices...i wish i could have u build me something lol.
  15. i absolutely LOVE those wheels on that car.
  16. lol the bottom of the seat is all that i removed and just folded the top down, and the bottom half only weighs like 5 pounds max. i plan to get a v2 when they come out, but like u said, thats a whole nother topic lol. but while i could stick with the 18...i have to get a recone+basket anyways so i figured i could kill 2 birds with 1 stone...idk. its still in the air for me lol...
  17. the way i see it is that a 15's cone area is about 69.4 percent of an 18. and the rule of thumb (ik this isnt necessarily the case) is that doubling the cone area will raise about 3db. now with going from an 18 to a 15 which is more than half the cone area, i would drop about 2db's which if i recall correctly is not audible. i could be wayyyy off with this but this is how i am seeing it...i just cant justify losing my backseat for something that is not even noticeable. i dont compete, plan to compete a little this summer, so the meter is not a huge deal to me. thoughts??
  18. lol i would love an svt...but would rather get a truck...so the focus is only temporary till i get out of school. the gas milage difference is incredible, i gained 5 mpg's when i took all of my equipment out.
  19. home delivery i got 67 bucks. thats at 120 pounds beings 60 per sub...idk how much they weigh but ik my nightshade 18 weighs about 68 pounds.
  20. get some measurements...
  21. shit shoulda asked where u were shipping to.
