  1. Both of those should easily be able to deal with 10dB differences if not more

I haven't gained weight in probably 6 years. I've lost weight over the past 6 years
  3. They'll be a lot more control in either of those processors than the sensitivity differences you speak of.

And my question was why do you care and can you quantify it...
  5. There are a lot of larger companies that OEM internet branded names. Just like Fi OEM's Crossfire, SSA, Etc. Basically all the vendor does is goes to the company, makes up some standards they want, gets it customized (heatsink, logos, etc) then sold. They're basically acting as a third party to market their amplifiers Just like Zenon manufactures Sundown, Crescendo, and a lot of other brands. Point of manufacture and what is manufactured don't have to be related. As Aaron pointed out for speakers this isn't even close and doesn't have to be for amps. Obviously in order to make changes you have to understand what they are and the ramifications, which isn't trivial but not rocket science either. In fact, most large corporations aren't vertically integrated either and outsource their manufacturing. They can use the same buildhouses and regularly do. There are exceptions, but there are also varying specifications which can be altered as desired. Pretty far off to think that an amp board and a subwoofer are designed the same way. Amusingly, by your description it only leaves the company you are buying from which due to history should eliminate all transactions from Skar. Considering your relation to Kevin this also gives us some rather strong insight into the lack of him doing anything to them and explains why he won't answer an extremely simple question.

Or look further and see what the goal is with either. ie, why do you care if you slim down or if you build muscle? I can tell you what mine would be, but it should be a personal goal. Once you know why, quantify it some more and then define the steps to get there. It will make it way easier to reach.

Interesting, I find that noise loud.... Not that I don't have "quiet" drives, but my house is definitely quiet. You can easily hear my 22dBA fans as well.

I don't know if you can see it, but they are floating in the air attached only with zip ties. Way less vibrations transferred to the case-less noise. Great idea and good work on the desk IMO, keeping the case down would also reduce a bit of the noise, because it's not there at head level. I've thought about it, but I like my case on top, since I'll be doing a badass case mod too. If it was just going to be that ugly chassis I would definitely leave it down. Already noticing some bad vibrations transferred from the case to the desk. I had removed the stuff I've put under the case for some isolation, just for the pic. I have the ultimate quiet pc. Monitor/keyboard etc in kitchen, PC in basement below the floor.

It does let you play it back a bit faster, by default that is what I'll use.

Just once, but its for a paper/presenation I am giving. I really just want to "speed it up" so it takes 5 seconds instead of 19.

Even better when you fuck your friends.
  17. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Of course, that's Kevin's school of business right there. Why do it yourself when you can fuck someone else instead?

Adrian I'm really interested in your production of your aeroports, would you be willing to share your mold and how it was produced? this is no way to shove you out of the market but I'd like to produce some for myself. That's a pretty rude question. He's got countless hours into those and now you want him to tell you everything he's learned? I have a suggestion, buy some from him. I'll guarantee two things. 1) they'll be better than your first shot by a lot, 2) they'll be cheaper. This means the only reason of course to try is to sell them and compete with Adrian and asking for his help in that isn't so savory.
  19. For a first shot at active I'd recommend something you can dink with at the headunit. Also realize that it will sound significantly WORSE than a passive set for a while until you start to comprehend what the changes do. If you add pro audio mayhem to that mix expect that learning curve to be even longer.

Indeed, but it doesn't burn hot nor last long. The Wicked Good is significantly better. Have you read the reviews at Naked Whiz?
