I just found that pic on the interwebz, not my car. What's the blue shit on your hands? Not my hands, just found a pic of a baffle like what I made today. I quoted you to make my point clear
  5. Why o why did you buy a Q? I am sure there is more in it, but if you even ask that question it confuses me on your selection. I see it over and over and just flat out don't understand. Wanting something loud and SQ aren't something you can have both of. Hell SQ hardly has anything to do with the sub in the first place and is all front stage. Like how you make a thread about a sub short on output and tell us what gear you have, but not how you set it up. Not so easy to help...

I don't know about may have to, but I am sure you may want to. Tweeter aiming and woofer aiming are independent.

  9. "could" but it'd be a step down IMO.
  10. What do you have for amps, h/u, processing, etc?

Possible the snapper was flounder as well as they can look similar, but it is more likely snapper in a sampler. *based on the fact they serve you the cheap stuff in a sampler

Oh and the eel looks overcooked and nasty as well.
  15. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Part of the joy of the eel is the sauce. It is a sweetened "broth" made from the remnants of the fish, soy and rice wine.

Left to right:Escolar (also known as super white tuna, if it was REALLY chevy then its Squid/Cuddlefish but I doubt it as its unusual in a sampler), Yellowtail, Shrimp, Snapper, Eel, Salmon, Tuna The Maki looks like a simple inside out tuna roll with dualing sesame seeds. The eel is grilled and regularly reheated in a microwave, lol. As for tasting, the biggest mistake most people make is they dip the rice into the wasabi/soy mixture instead of the fish. This has the tendency to pull the flavors away from the fish making them taste mostly like the dip. If you dip the fish, the salt from the soy will enhance the flavor and the wasabi shouldn't be mixed so strong it overpowers everything. Even if it is strong in wasabi this way you will taste the fish first and then have your nose walloped by the wasabi. Interesting you noticed a fluctuation in wasabi strength as generically speaking everyone uses the same powder. It isn't even wasabi actually but a replacement since wasabi is expensive. If it felt strong perhaps it was fresher as with any dried anything the older the weaker. Texture wise the Escolar, Tuna & Salmon should be the most buttery with the Escolar leading the way. The Yellowtail is somewhere in between the escolar and the snapper, but a really fatty one will be very akin to the escolar and is heavenly. BY FAR my favorite sushi when its the right fish and the right cut. The pure white should turn you off, its probably the only sushi that truly isn't so good for you. That being said, it isn't that bad either. The ones you liked the least this time I would eat first next time. It is hard to get beyond the textural/visual for someone who isn't used to it. That and the stupid simplified closed minded Western idea of eating has you naturally convinced that raw fish is bad before you even try it. Even when you know better you are a bit brainwashed. Don't let that history ruin it for you. It is very possible the snapper was a little older though which will make it more fishy and add a little effort in the chewing. Truly fresh it also melts in your mouth, but not as much as the fattier fish we pointed out earlier. And yes, if the shrimp was rubbery they overcooked it which doesn't bode well for the rest of the experience as it is SUPER easy to cook. Any hint in the salad? Was it mayo based, lemon flavored or soy?

They make stainless hitch pins don't they? Yep, just bought one. Now to fill the lock with dielectric so that the salt doesn't make the key break off the next time I need to take it off.
  18. Bucket refer to the glass o booze or the hand blown glass?

M5, all I have to say is you have to learn that you can't change other people, you can only change how you act around them. Maybe less hostility could make people consider your words more? Oh yeah. I'd certainly feel that way, at the very least. Actually that doesn't work, tried it. My goal is to make you think. If you aren't willing to I don't care if I help you, but if you are I'll go the extra mile. Quite literally, giving up is weaksauce. I'm always willing to learn, you just gotta be cool about it. You can be firm or like, not fun about it, just don't be mean, ya know? I'm not trying to fight about it, I just want it to work somewhat smoothly here. I never gave up, just changed my strategy to something more successful. As for you being willing to learn that is good to hear, the first step in learning is trying and I look forward to seeing that happen. So from here on out I'll expect your threads to back up your statement. M5, you always remind me of that ONE guy that's like a manager or boss and follows all the rules so closely that it's almost redundant and then when he's right and you're wrong you do everything in your power to never let him know about it lol I don't care about rules if you are thinking through a process, but when spoon feeding is requested its required otherwise threads turn to shit. I'm actually all for breaking rules WHEN it makes sense.

Gotta learn that you can't change other people, you can only change how you act around them. If you want answers then spend more time thinking about your question. Not doing so is REALLY disrespectful to whomever you are asking a question of.
  23. Congrats. AWESOME tweeter.
  24. Two comments. - all rules of thumb fail - "try" was the right word, but also implies that it isn't the only position you listen to them before settling on one
