I am a HUGE fan of the salmons, they work really well and are super easy on your rims. Of course, they wear out faster but cheaper to buy pads than to wear out rims.

Then, when we hit about 5 miles left it turned into torrential downpour. My phone ended up getting a little wet, so I took the battery out and am letting it dry. Hope all turns out well for it. Rice bath and definitely non-cooked

Just goes to show how subjective "sounding good" is. Oh, and good luck with adding the P & L to SQ, rofl. And there definitely is a way, but then it would just be SQ as there are no output level restrictions or requirements on SQ setups. Of course generally not playing at levels above where your ears start to seriously go into masking mode would be obvious, but other than that as loud as you like can still be SQ focused but it is far from trivial to do so.

No, there are no rules that say that. It is regularly the easiest to do that though as you can imagine just by thinking about the build. Definitely making this hard. Generically you only need to worry about the length and not shape. Turn it as you have to, but when you do the only shape consideration is to minimize the restriction to air movement and you are golden.

Stripped the Trek down bare, going to treat all the rust, touch up the paint and then re-assemble with SRAM. Have to order about $40 worth of arbitrary shit parts, but once done it ought to be sweet. Still looking for a wheelset for it though, temporarily it'll have to rob the Lemond but the derailleurs and cassettes aren't really interchangeable. Only high speed gearing is going on the Trek, which people will think funny since its a touring bike.
