Welcome to the IHoP
Not so amusingly, the kids (my exact age) that started Crocs went to high school with a good friend of mine from college. They grew up ultra poor, but then BANG

XCON 15 sealed
Why is a qtc of 0.60 with a vb of 3.0^3ft better than a qtc of 0.70 with a vb of 1.75^3ft????? May or may not be for you, depends on your goals. Every manufacturer has to pick a Qtc for their recommended box sizes. Normally they end up having someone in marketing choose a number that the engineers present to them that they feel corresponds to their specific market. Generically speaking .7 is considered normal and lower numbers are more damped higher more "warm". On top of that the Q of the box will affect the roll off in the frequency domain. In the car audio world this can also be chosen such that it utilizes the "average" cabin gain effectively. I think no one really answered because you said better or they don't understand Qtc. Different sure, better, maybe. For sealed boxes in a listening area I would definitely encourage polyfill, for a trunk of a car not so much. It isn't only used for making the driver think its in a larger enclosure.

Two Processing Options
Except you need more processing than that amp can provide. It isn't just crossover, but EQ is also required. It will be a way better bang for the buck to buy a headunit/processor for the crossovers and eq together than separate eq alone. Personally I am also completely against trunk mounted crossovers as it is SUPER hard to get them dialed in right.

Not sure which rider that is worse for

which sub?
I've got an L7 as well and it definitely will get loud. Raising the tuning will even help if you end up wanting more

Two Processing Options
Used for a headunit will be probably the route you need to go. Pio 800, 880, (?860mp) Alpine 9813, 9815, 9833, 9833, 9855 (?9853) Clarion 9255 Ural CDD Eclipse 8053, 8454, 8455, 7200 There are a few other Clarion's and assorted, but feature wise I much prefer the above. The ones in brackets I am not 1000% sure of and would probably avoid anyways. You bring out the best in me. I am flat out sick of you posting either the , interesting, or a bunch of garbage. Funny thing is I said about the same thing Impious did, you just don't like hearing any criticism from me. The cure is to stop posting stuff when you don't know anything about it.

You know the drill. It depends.... Yes I know, but I don't really know what else to mention. The vehicle is a Toyota 4Runner second generation(Surf in the USA?). [23:49:37] Dolha Adrian: just tell him you want a fullrange speaker I want a full range speaker, Sean. You might not need a tweet. Try it without and see what you think. If you find yourself needing one, I would suggest a simply small dome, nothing fancy will be needed since it will be the top of the spectrum and such a narrow bandwidth. I find myself loving my full rangers more and more. Wouldn't work so well in a room with any variance in where you sit, but a desk is pretty consistent.

Welcome to the IHoP
I haven't used any, but have heard many installed in cars and even when I was allowed to "tune" them I didn't like what I heard.

Damn, good deal. There going out of business, probably why. At least the ultimate E in my town is... Yeah pretty preference based... I put some coaxial 6x9 focals in my fathers truck with new hu and amp, big improvement over factory, I think it's a good assumption if I liked those then I'll enjoy these. With Focal I wouldn't call that a good assumption. They don't sound alike from cheaper to more expensive lines, more so than other brands. I've never heard a Focal mid I liked. They have some wonderful tweets, but I've not been one for their mids. Funny you should say that, I'd pick on their tweeters and not the mids although I am not really a fan of either. Actually probably their crossovers and balancing really, the tweeters might lay down when dealt with right.

Truth about wiring.
And if you don't know what LCR is you should NEVER recommend a wire to anyone.
-
Truth about wiring.
Stop the press, confusion is abundant. Let's make this REALLY easy. Unless someone has measurements showing a different LCR of different wire they should stfu and not recommend jack. If you can't measure it you sure as fuck can't hear it. Measurement gear is WAY, WAY, WAY more sensitive than your ear.

LOL. One other comment, pro audio mids play high and perhaps you could just use a tweeter. Might even be better.
