All the ones in this neck of the woods are AWD pretty much.

Mileage
My Silverado was retired at 130k and was by far the most expensive repair vehicle I have ever owned. Not saying that is the norm, but it was absurd how much bs went wrong with it. Considering at that it fetched used still more than 2x what you are seeing a year newer SS's for obviously those are either trashed like hell or something is fishy. I'd expect to pay $12k for a clean 03 SS with less than 120k miles and for that I wouldn't be interested. Lower priced ones I'd be wary of though as that truck attracts some not so savory followers. As with any used vehicle, service records are paramount and are the single biggest value adder IMO. 2nd biggest is to see the inside of the sellers house. A pig can't escape himself and if you live like a slob at home I'd bet you treat your vehicle like shit too. 3rd is a good inspection, but that I normally just do myself in particular if the first two pass.

SAX-100.4D Crossover
Don't be so quick to judge, that may not be a ridiculous crossover point. Sure you will get some beaming, but if that tweeter's Fs is high it may even be necessary. It could also sound better. They sure seem to recommend the fr of the L4 to be dang high and the 5.25 isn't all that much bigger. You should first figure out what the tweeter can take and then figure out where the woofer can play to "nicely". (do this independently). Then start to experiment with combinations and phase and such. Going to take some hours to get it dialed right.

I don't quite understand how you can have it in your sig and I can't.

How the hell can you do that and not me?

distortion--what exactly is it?
I really don't want to seem like an idiot but....how? I'm not really following...I understand the first paragraph fully if that means anything. An analog filter requires a dedicated circuit for every frequency. In the case of measuring the THD this means that you need a circuit for each and every harmonic to measure THD. Then some method of summing it. A standard digital microprocessor can have this running on it and do the calculation on the fly. Much more efficient way of implementing the algorithm.

I can't put her back though

Broken to new sounds good. Hottie is "too big" for the new software. When I edited my signature to include a disclaimer so nooblets wouldn't get the sand rubbed the wrong way in their labia I had to remove the pic

distortion--what exactly is it?
Not really necessary. What do you gain by setting your system at a level that is under an amount that you can hear? How are you compensating for different recording levels on CD's? Max non-clipped output power isn't a determining factor in what your speakers can survive. They have a level of Average power they can take and you can't exceed that. Depending on the size of your amplifier that could easily be even a fully clipped signal. How then is it beneficial to measure/set gains based on some nonsensical level that is determined incorrectly by some harmonic at -40dB? If you are wondering on my last sentence, pretty easy to figure out. If you want to measure THD (total harmonic distortion) and want it to be at -40dB or less, how you would design an analog circuit to do that? That's right you'd make a detector for each and every harmonic and then a summing circuit. Obviously a very strange way to do this when you could much more easily do this in the digital domain.

Is a watt, a watt, no matter what?
Pretty simple answer actually. If amplifiers are tested appropriately (none really are) and they test at the same power at the same frequency they will indeed have the same output. Sonic differences can happen, but Impious took care of those and none have any differences that can't be reverted back with some processing. As for differences in quality, that can surely exist. Quality components should be chosen (not for sound coloration, but for longevity), and of course quality construction is necessary as well. It is very often that cheaper brands cut corners on some of the most expensive componentry and the amplifier suffers because of it. So is a watt a watt? Yes, if you can imply true watt = true watt, but that doesn't mean that all amplifiers are equal.

I'd actually say that if you could do it in two strokes and maintain emissions you'd even be better off.

Cheap shifters don't shift. Is it the derailleur or the actually shifter/brifter? Its really the line between the shifter and the derailleur that is messed up, but the shifters were bashed up pretty good so i figured they were cheap enough to totally replace. I really need new lines too Cable is super cheap. Start there.

And has a terrible touchscreen. Personally still might buy one for a remote control, but have no other use for it. By remote I mean for my whole house automation though.
