  1. Not sure I follow your question. Are you implying that the air is more dense in a small room?
  2. Right now I have Pioneer TS-A6871R speakers in both front and back. I'm just looking for a sub or 2 to fill the missing bass. If you want to make the biggest SQ difference you'll start by changing those up, then worry about the sub. In the SQ realm the sub is least important part of the equation.

    on a plane...
  4. And the shocks could be in the 6-7.5 range and last for weeks. Completely scary and a huge disaster. Definitely wish everyone the best.
  5. The ones in the better install, but I wouldn't be interested in the Re's. What fronts?

EVERYTHING for the cal king is expensive. The width of a normal king would be better than the length for you J. What you gain in one you lose in the other and ad $$$ 9" 590

While all of those drivers have different sonic capabilities, install indeed will make the difference. They also each have different compromises, have you thought about your preferences there?

Latex is good stuff in bedding. Lasts for ever and is soft. They can make quite a bit of variences in density too. It's a bit particular when they cook it up though. Doesn't breath, dead killer for me.

I see your schwartz is as big as mine.... Yogurt has taught you well. May the schwartz be with the both of you... May your schwartz be in a warm, wet place.

Ours is from one of the S's, don't remember but was the most comfortable to us. On the firmer side, but not ultra firm and has a big non-latex euro top. Last thing I want is to lay on latex.

Cal Kings are the toughest as they are almost always special order. However if a store has a Cal King in stock they sure as hell want it out of there and can get pretty agressive with pricing. Assuming it's not a display model to show what a cal king looks like. We had to order ours. Tried out the King, but bought the Cal. At my height it is essential.

Amazing numbers of idiots asking extremely stupid questions on here lately, it is frustrating.

I'd guess so. $300-500 for a queen isn't enough. 300-500 after haggling, I should say $800 bucks sticker price should last about 5-6 years max. But the foam will be lower quality and you will see the depressions fast. How did the depressions in the pillowtop cause issues? 400 bucks every 5-6 years or 800 bucks every 10-12 works out about the same. As for the lower quality foam, see my above post. I dunno, maybe we're buying the wrong brands? So far we've had Restonic, Sealy, Serta, Stearn's & Foster, and King Koil. The pillowtops cratered, none of the tight tops nor the latex ones have Mine is 8 years old and feels like new. Was nearly $2k though, but also a Cal King. Near $6k retail.

Budget wise I don't get it, but maybe you've seen toppers that are a better deal. Warning on mattress shopping. No reason really to ever pay more than 30-35% of retail MSRP. Just bought Aidan a new Twin XL that retailed for $589 for $167. Hmmm, I suppose I need to take the little lady and go mattress shopping. We gotta do the same when we get home. Sean, how do you get the price dropped so much? Every place I go seems to want MSRP or maybe 100 less. J That's absurd. Normally I ask how much and the answer is normally $5k, but I can get you a better price. How much? $2k. Ouch, too much. Okay $1500 Easiest sales people to negotiate with ever IMO.
  22. Um, no. There is no secret, even when applied perfectly it is NOT an effective deadener. Not at all its designed purpose and it is a terrible layer for damping vibration or for stopping sound. It basically does almost nothing.

  24. Really the best recommendation to save money in the process and do it right is to explain your goals to Don from SDS and order what he recommends. Unlike other vendors I have never seen him recommend more than necessary. Great guy on top of it

Coils can't really change *assuming they are working*. Suspension not being tight can change the t/s a bit, but normally broken in is how'd you like to run them. Not saying it hurt to ask, just wanted to point out if it works no need
